VIT-AP University offers modern infrastructure, good placements, and decent faculty. However, campus life is still developing, and some students feel fees are high for the facilities provided. Over all the infra is average
Academics at VIT-AP University are structured with updated curriculum, experienced faculty, and focus on practical learning, though consistency in teaching quality can vary. Overall the acedemics is good
Placements scenerio is goodPlacements at VIT-AP University are generally considered one of its stronger aspects, though outcomes can vary depending on the student’s skills, branch, and level of preparation. The university follows a centralized placement system similar to other VIT campuses, which allows students to access opportunities from a wide range of companies visiting for recruitment.
Students often feel it’s worth it if you actively use the opportunities (placements, internships, coding culture). However, for those expecting guaranteed high returns or strong core placements, it may feel slightly expensive for the current stage of campus development.
Campus life at VIT-AP University is decent but still evolving. The campus is modern and clean, with good hostels, sports facilities, and active clubs. Students can participate in cultural fests, technical events, and student chapters, which helps build a lively environment.
Overall, VIT-AP University offers a solid academic environment with decent placements, modern infrastructure, and growing opportunities. It’s a good choice for students focused on IT careers and skill development. However, as a relatively new campus, it still has room to improve in campus life, core placements, and overall exposure. Considering all factors, it stands as a promising but evolving institution with moderate to good value for money. Overall rating of the vitap university is average
Yes it has good infrastructure, our college provides projectors , good wifi , it is clean and hygienic. It provides us good education, sports facilities, good placements, good faculty ,overall it is better.
I am pursuing integrated mtech software engineering. We are having good faculty , yes .The quality of teaching at VIT-AP University is generally good. The faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, and they focus on both theoretical concepts and practical applications. Many courses include hands-on projects, which help in understanding real-world scenarios. Additionally, the use of modern teaching methods like presentations, coding labs, and collaborative learning enhances the overall learning experience.
Our college provides good campus placements , highest package for now was 96 lakhs per annum , our college is soo supportive .Around 80–90% of eligible students get placed from VIT-AP University. However, this can vary depending on the branch and individual preparation. Students who actively work on their skills, internships, and projects generally have better chances of getting placed.
I got seat for category 4 so my annual fees is 278000 . Yeah I feel I am getting my money worth it .
Yes it has good infrastructure, our college provides projectors , good wifi , it is clean and hygiene . We are having good faculty.
The campus infrastructure is honestly one of the best parts of being here. The library is massive and actually has quiet zones where you can get real work done, plus the Wi-Fi is surprisingly reliable across the whole campus. Labs are equipped with modern gear, which makes practical sessions way less frustrating. Even the common areas and gardens are well-maintained, providing a nice spot to decompress between lectures. It feels like a place actually designed for students.
The academic experience at my college has been a significant journey of growth. The curriculum is rigorous and well-structured, providing a solid foundation in my field of study while also encouraging critical thinking. Most professors are deeply knowledgeable and approachable, often going out of their way to provide additional guidance during office hours. However, like any institution, there is room for improvement; some administrative processes can feel a bit slow or bureaucratic. Despite this, the variety of elective courses and the emphasis on research opportunities have truly enriched my learning. Overall, it has been a challenging yet rewarding academic environment.
The placement cell here is pretty active and brings in a good variety of companies, especially for tech roles. While the packages for top students are great, the average CTC could be better. Overall, if you put in the work and keep your GPA up, you'll definitely land a solid starting offer.
Solid investment. The tuition is reasonable compared to the quality of labs and career support provided. I feel like I'm getting exactly what I paid for.
The campus vibe is great, especially the green spaces for hanging out between classes. The worst part is definitely the long wait times at the canteen during lunch hour. There are plenty of active clubs and annual fests to get involved in, so there's always something to do!
The campus in Amaravati is modern and scenic, though it is clearly still in its development phase with several areas under construction. Most first-year classes are held in AB-1 or the massive Central Block (CB), which is one of the largest academic buildings in India. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards and projectors, but unlike the labs, they are not air-conditioned, which can be tough during the hot Andhra summers.
I'm doing a mtech integrated course in software engineering The "Integrated" nature means a heavy load. You must complete approximately 216 credits over five years. Exams follow a pattern of two Mid-term exams (CAT1, CAT2) and one Final Assessment Test (FAT), with grading being relative. Most professors hold Ph.D. degrees from top institutions. While many are supportive and approachable, some students find the teaching quality varies by individual.
placement rates between 80% and 90% for CSE-related courses. The average package for this track typically ranges from ₹6 LPA to ₹10 LPA, with "Super Dream" offers reaching as high as ₹41–₹63 LPA.Recruiters: Top names like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, and Infosys frequently visit the campus.
It is a high-pressure environment that rewards hard work. While the remote location means few off-campus distractions, the active club culture and fests like VTAPP and VITopia keep campus life vibrant.
Good infrastructure. Big buildings, very modern from inside out. Big classrooms. Projector in classes. Good table and chairs. Windows are big so no concern about ventilation. Plenty of chairs for everyone to sit.
Academics side this college is quite good. Professors are mostly phd's from IITs. Exams are taken very often to keep us on track with our studies. Assignments are given, and quizzes are taken very diligently
Placements are quite good here. In 2026, one person for almost 90 lakh lpa job in Linked in. Overall on average the placement is around 15-20 lpa. Professors help students a lot for getting good placements.
To be honest, this university is truly value for money. It's beautiful campus, great professors, clubs, food, environment, are top notch.
The campus life is great. Water is available everywhere. We have food Street which has many outlets in it.
My college has good infrastructure and provides all the necessary facilities for students. The classrooms are clean and equipped with projectors for effective learning. Laboratories and computer labs have proper equipment for practical knowledge. The library contains useful books and digital resources for studies. The campus also provides Wi-Fi, sports facilities, seminar halls, and a hygienic cafeteria. Overall, the college environment is comfortable and supportive for both academics and extracurricular activities.
I am currently studying Mechatronics Engineering because I am interested in robotics, automation, and modern technology. The course helps me gain both mechanical and programming knowledge, which is useful for future career opportunities. The quality of teaching in my college is good, and most faculty members are supportive and experienced. The curriculum is regularly updated according to industry requirements and includes practical learning through labs, projects, and workshops, helping students improve their technical and problem-solving skills.
The placement opportunities in my college are decent, with many students getting placed in well-known companies every year. Around 70–80% of eligible students are placed through campus recruitment drives. The highest salary package offered depends on the branch and company, while the average package is satisfactory for fresh graduates. Companies from technical, software, and core sectors visit the campus for recruitment. The college also provides training programs, aptitude sessions, and interview preparation to help students improve their placement skills.
The course fee in my college is reasonable compared to the facilities and education provided. It costs around ₹1–2 lakhs per year depending on the course and category. I feel the college provides good value for money because of the quality teaching, laboratory facilities, placements, workshops, and campus infrastructure. The college also encourages practical learning and skill development, which helps students prepare for future careers and higher studies.
My college campus is spacious, clean, and has a positive environment for students. One of the best features is the good infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, library, sports facilities, and greenery around the campus. The college also organizes technical events, cultural programs, workshops, sports competitions, and club activities where students can actively participate and improve their skills. One drawback is that some facilities can become crowded during busy hours. Overall, the campus provides a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities.
Overall, my experience in the college has been good and helpful for both personal and academic growth. The college provides a supportive environment, experienced faculty, and opportunities to improve technical and communication skills. Students get exposure through projects, events, workshops, and extracurricular activities. With good infrastructure and placement support, the college helps students prepare for their future careers confidently.
The infrastructure can be considered pretty decent, but it is lacking in several areas. I'm highly doubtful if the library is adequate, considering the number of students present on campus. Also, it does not stay open for long enough to be even considered useful, the working hours need to be longer if not 24/7. While the labs are air-conditioned, many of the classrooms are not, which is not exactly ideal considering the kind of weather this place has. Considering the fact that the campus is fairly new, it should get better over time.
Academics really depend upon the faculty that you end up getting. Good faculties do teach well if you focus in class. The exams and quizzes frequency can feel overwhelming at first, but you will gradually get used to it over time. Regular studying will help and prevent overburden.
Highly branch and GPA dependent. Higher GPA (>9) will land you the opportunity to apply for better/top companies. Skill also plays a major role; many companies will be willing to hire you if your skillsets match their needs.
Depends on what fee category you're joining in.
The campus is a tech paradise for an AI student. We have specialized AI and Robotics labs with high-end machines that can actually handle heavy model training. As a hosteler, the 24/7 high-speed Wi-Fi is my best friend for late-night Kaggle competitions or GitHub commits. The Central Library is usually where I spend my nights because it’s air-conditioned and has all the premium journals I need for my machine learning projects.
The curriculum for cse aiml is upto date and solid , faculty are highly knowledgable The Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS) is a lifesaver. I chose my classes to start late so I can pull "all-nighters" for my AI projects. The curriculum is very modern—we aren't just doing basic math; we are diving into Neural Networks and Deep Learning early on. The professors are very research-oriented, and many of them have their own labs where they allow us to work on real-world AI problems as part of our coursework
The placement focus here is intense. Being an AI & ML student, I’m eyeing companies like Microsoft and Intel that look for specific tech skills. The Career Development Centre (CDC) holds regular coding marathons and mock interviews right in the academic blocks. Since I live here, I can attend every single guest lecture by industry experts from Bangalore or Hyderabad without worrying about missing the last bus.
Life in the boys' or girls' hostel as a hosteler is where the real bonding happens. We have "wing sessions" where we teach each other Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). When we get bored of coding, we head to the Student Activity Center (SAC) for a quick gym session or a game of badminton. The food in the Night Canteens is what keeps us going during exam weeks, and fests like VTAPP give us a chance to show off our technical projects to the whole university.
CSE classes and labs are primarily spread across the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Block (AB-1) and the massive Mahatma Gandhi Block (Central Block), which is known as one of the largest academic blocks in India. All core computer labs are centrally air-conditioned to ensure the systems run smoothly and students can work comfortably.Lecture halls operate with high-speed Wi-Fi and digital projectors for modern.
The standout feature of academics at VIT is the Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS). We get to design your own schedule every semester. We can select which professors teach your classes. We also can choose to overload credits to finish your degree early or spread them out to leave time for clubs and sports.
Generally ranges between ₹6 LPA to ₹8 LPA.Premium elite packages standing at ₹20 LPA and above. Individual high achievers have secured domestic packages up to ₹44 LPA and even spectacular off-campus/international offers reaching ₹ 1 Crore +.
It is heavily dependent on how you get admitted (your fee category) and how much personal effort you put into building coding skills. , i got seat through AP EAPCET, I'm paying only 2.5L per annual which is totally worth.
Life on this green, expansive campus is largely defined by over 70 active technical and cultural clubs, continuous celebrations, and massive annual events like the VITopia cultural fest and VTAPP tech fest.
Seniors consistently advise juniors to use the Fully Flexible Credit System wisely. Being able to pick lenient teachers and pack all classes into the morning to leave afternoons free is considered a massive lifesaver.
The campus is huge and has a lot of greenery, which makes it a very chill place to hang out between classes. Even though I don't stay in the hostel buildings, I spend a lot of time on campus because of the tennis and badminton courts. Since I play both, I can say the sports area is top-tier. It's a great way to relax with my good friends after a long day of coding. The overall vibe is very welcoming, and the campus feels very modern and clean.
I am a BTech CSBS student, and the best part is that our course is designed by TCS. We don’t have the FFCS system, but that’s actually good because our schedule is fixed and well-organized. We learn a mix of computer science and business, which is really interesting. The faculty is very positive and they always help us with our doubts.
One big reason to join VIT-AP is the placements. Even though we are in the AP branch, we get the same chances as Vellore and Chennai students. Seeing seniors get "Super Dream" offers with packages like 96 LPA is a huge motivation. For CSBS students, having that business knowledge plus coding skills makes us stand out. The college starts training us for interviews very early, so I feel pretty safe about my future.
Since I am a day scholar, I travel by the college bus. The bus fee is 50k per year, and the college fee is 1.3 lakh. It’s a bit expensive, but the bus has AC and is very comfortable. The best part of the day is the bus ride because that’s where I hang out with my squad. We talk about our day and listen to music, which makes the travel time fly by. Value for money in the case of studies and skill improvement
During my breaks, I always head to the Food Street. The food there is amazing and it’s a great place to meet people from other branches. I also try to take part in clubs and marathons. The marathons are a lot of fun because the whole college comes together. Overall, it’s a 4-star experience. It’s a bit of a hustle, but with good friends and a great campus, it’s totally worth it!
Hi Aayushi,
With a VITEEE AIR of 47,674, you are likely looking at Category 3-5 for ECE at Chennai/Vellore or potentially Category 1-2 for CSE at AP/Bhopal. For better placement opportunities in IT/Software,
prioritize CSE at VIT Chennai or CSE in Category 2/3 at VIT AP,
as placements are centralized,
