College caters to the educational needs of the students in the area providing them higher education while preparing them for industrial tasks. However, there is a lot to improve in terms of practical knowledge, job oriented courses etc. Faculty is good but need more experienced industry professionals. College life is fairly average. Students are mostly from rural areas. There is not a wide array of experiential setup. Hostel life also doesn't seem to be very interesting since there is not much to explore arojnd. The college is setup in the outskirts of the city and has a no connection with city life. However, the collegd is in existence since nearly 20 years and earned name in good faith in the early years. Need of hour is to keep alive the legacy!

An engineering college which lacks quality

The college is now running for over 15+ years, however by the time I passed out in 2006, it lacked decent infrastructure or staff. Since every man and his dog is operating an engineering college in Punjab, AIET did not capitalized on the early to market advantage it had. Majority of the staff at the college was from the recent pass out batches or hired through local influence, so it lacked quality in the teaching. Apart form a handful of teachers, who knew what they are talking about, majority were there to have a good time. Teachers were a firm believer in holding the ransom of internal marks against students and students who didn't have a good connection to the teacher or participated in arse kissing would struggle to get decent internal marks. Placement record of the college was a decent ZERO percent, although the college never shied away from writing names companies such as Dell, Microsoft in the admission brochures, which is an absolute lie. Hostels were below average too, as a result almost half the students would rather live in the closest city, around 12 KM from the college.
