Our college infrastructure is good but the buildings are old . We have projectors, LED s in classrooms. We have a canteen and a central library . We have wifi in college as well as hostels . The living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.

I am doing my B.Tech degree in Chemical engineering. The quality of teaching is good and the teachers are highly qualified. Yes our curriculum is updated regularly and includes all the recent developments in the field.

The placements in our college is not very good. About 20% students are placed every year. The highest package offered is around fifteen lakhs and the average package offered is around six lakh per annum. Yes the placement process is easy.

Our course costs about twenty thousand per annum. Yes i feel i am getting my money worth because Assam Engineering College is one of the reputed college of north east india and provides Engineering degree at a very low cost.

Our campus is very beautiful with greenary everywhere. The main problem is that it is not a closed campus.

Yes our college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. We have smart board, wifi broad band, sound speaker , speakers in our classes. Yes the living spaces are moderately clean and food is hygienic.

I am studying Mechanical engineering.I have interested in it from my childhood i want to start my own automobile modifiying company . Quality of teaching is good. Yes we are updated and includes recent developments in the field .

The quality of placement is good enough for students who have above 6.5cgpa or about 60 percentage but somewhere exception are there. the highest package offered is 22 lakhs per annum by oil India limited and 18 lakhs per annum from NRL and average package offered is around 6 lakh per annum.

Since it is under state government the cost of fees per year is very low it is around 15000 per annum.yes i feel am getting my money worth because it is one of the reputed college of north east india.

Our campus is very beautiful with greenary everywhere and far away from the city life. The teachers are supportive . The campus is safe and can handel emergencies.

Yes, the college has all the necessary requirements needed for a student in his graduate or post graduate life. The classrooms have properly furnished desks and benches with ventilators helping the proper air flow in and out of the classrooms. The library is well equipped with textbooks and reference books for any student in the college. Hostels are properly maintained. All the hostels are under use but the maintenance is a concern. The food is hygienic.

I'm studying Mechanical Engineering. I want to grow up as an automobile engineer and turn up my own automobile company one day. The teaching facility is good except for a few vernacular medium teachers and professors. Yes, the curriculum is updated for our best development. Yes, the study makes us job ready.

Quality of placements has remained high since a long time. A number of public and private sector companies come up due to the proximity from the airport. Average salary is about 6Lakhs PA. The college is supportive in placements and training related issues.

The course costs us around Rs 15000-20000. The money isn't worth in the hostel.

No , our college is a kind of open campus with no boundary walls which give access to anyone to come and do anything they without the consent of our authorities. Our infrastructure is not good as in some of our classroom is not so well build and during rainy season our ceiling gets leaked, many tube lights are not working properly ,our washroom are horrible and the equipments are less . Currently i'm studying b-tech in electrical engineering as i have passion in electrical stuffs and all. The quality of teaching is good but some teachers use other language medium to teach us example in their own language. No i don't think that our curriculum is not updated according to the world development as in there are many course which is not included. Yes it do make my job ready.

The quality of our placement is on average as in 4-5 l.P.A. According to the present status the percentage of placements is like 20-30%. The highest package of our college is 17 l.P.A. Our college is quite supportive for placement.

Our campus is green but the features like streetlights ,field or court for sport is not so well build. It's not so safe out hear as our belongings use get snatched by some notorious bike riders. I think it can handle emergencies.

Yes,my college have all the necessary infrastructure. All the classrooms are equipped with smart tv and smart boards and hygiene is maintained. The campus is a smart campus with wifi facilities and is surveillance under cctvs. All the hostels are clean with good hygienic food.

I am pursuing my B.tech degree in civil engineering. As i love drawing and designing i opt for civil engineering. Faculties are interactive and teaches us well. The curriculum here is upto date with latest equipments provided.

Quality of placement in our college is quite impressive. Almost 50% of students from every batch are being placed. Around 20lakhs was the average package offered. Our college is supportive in every way they prepare us the best way possible.

15-20 thousand is the cost of course per year. Paying this amount of money and achieving lots of knowledge and developing skills in various fields and the facilities college provides makes me feel it’s worth.

Firstly, the best features of this college is students get ample opportunities to participate in every events to enhance their skills and the students gain lots of knowledge. The worst part is infrastructure here is getting little old as compared to other institutions.

Overall our college

The college has got all the basic infrastructures needed. It is a well-maintained college with class-leading laboratories. The college, as well as the hostel, has got wifi facility. Every hostel is hygienic, the best part of course.

Currently, I am a BE Electrical Engineering student. The teachers here are highly qualified and has that experience to tool up us with proper knowledge. The curriculum of every department is up to date and in synchronisation with the latest developments in the field. The course structure is designed in a way to suit technical and arts as well.

The placement scenario is good to date. A good number of students are placed every year. This year a CSE graduate got the highest package of 17 LPA. The placement process was handled by the TPS cell quite smoothly. The college was supportive enough.

The college is a mixed blend of traditional and modern infrastructure. Each department has got excellent teachers. But, gradually the placement scenario is not that as it used to be. It is located in a proper location close to bus stand, railway station, airport. The college has got its own hospital and an ayurvedic hospital very near to it.

AEC has all the modern lab equipments.Recently the workshops are being renovated.Being the oldest Assam govt. Engineering college,it has all the essential things an engineering undergraduate needs.High speed internet is available in hostels.

I'm currently pursuing B.tech in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering.The professors are qualified and many ot them have their PhD from reputed IITs.the present curriculum is under Scholarships are provided to meritious students.

Placements are average.But it varies every year depending on the companies that come.average package is around 5-6 lakhs.The highest package this year was 17 lakhs which was bagged by a CSE Student.AEC also has campus placements with PSUs coming every year.

The overall tution fees for 1 year is ₹14,000.Its quite economical for students from various sections.

The campus life is okayish.Recently new street lights and dustbins have been installed.The only issue is boundary.

AEC is the oldest govt. Engineering college in Assam.It had been the pioneer for Engineering since decades.The alumni network of AEC is very strong.

The infrastructure of Assam Engineering College can be described as somehow being able to satisfy the basic need of students and having basic instruments and facilities to qualify as an engineering institute

In departments like computer science and electronics the curriculum can be more updated. The college curriculum does accomplish to give its students the basic concepts required for engineers but fails to give up to date information.

Very Rare no. Of placements are good to satisfy and compete with the placements of this college's counterparts. Compared to this colleges reputation and history, the campus placements provided here are very poor and the students definitely deserve to get better placements and job opportunities.

I would rather suggest the college to charge more for the courses provided and bring better infrastructure for students

Very active and lively college life filled with a lot of extra curricular activities

Library timings are not very flexible. Class rooms are not in proper condition. Laboratory is not equipped with up to date machines and also some of the models are not in working condition. Water coolers are not working properly

I'm pursuing a B.TECH degree in mechanical engineering. Some of the professors are not able to satisfy the academic needs of the students in classroom. Some of them fail to grasp the attention as well as interest of the students.

Number of students placed in companies through campus placement is decreasing. Highest package was offered to a student of Electronics department- 17 Lakhs per annum. Many of the students were placed in companies with starting packages below 5 l.p.a.

It's not completely worth the fees we pay.
