    Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology, Samba Admission Process

    Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology, Samba (BCET) is a privately owned affiliated college, providing education in the field of Engineering and Architecture. BCET Samba admission process is carried out according to the procedures of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). The main entrance test for BCET Samba admission process is the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET).

    BCET Samba conducts five undergraduate B.Tech courses with an intake capacity of 330 students. BCET Samba admission process usually coincides with the schedule of JKCET exams, which take place every year. The students who are likely to join the institute should appear in the JKCET exam, and the students are shortlisted as per the guidelines given by BOPEE, Jammu and Kashmir.

    In order to qualify for admission, the applicants must have a 10+2 background in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as major subjects. Though specific cut-offs could change annually, the applicants are mostly ranked as per their JKCET test scores.

    BCET Samba Admission Process

    Following are the procedures for applying to Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology, Samba:

    • Application for JKCET: It is mandatory to apply for JKCET exams through the website of BOPEE. In most cases, it includes a fill-up procedure for an online application form as well as remittance of applicable fee.
    • JKCET Examination: Take the JKCET on the given date. The pattern of the exam is questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
    • JKCET Result: Wait for the declaration of JKCET results. The results are typically released on the BOPEE website.
    • Counselling Registration: Shortlisted candidates must register for the counselling process carried out by BOPEE.
    • Seat Allotment: Based on the JKCET rank and availability, seats are allotted to candidates.
    • Payment of Fee: After seat allotment, candidates are required to pay the admission fee as specified to secure their seat at BCET Samba.
    • College Reporting: Once all the above procedures are completed, candidates have to report to BCET Samba on the given date for final admission procedures.

    BCET Samba B.Tech Admission Process

    BCET Samba provides five B.Tech courses: Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. BCET Samba admission process for all these courses is based on the performance of the candidate in the JKCET exam. The B.Tech course is a four-year full-time duration course, and the selection procedure is the same for all branches.

    For all B.Tech courses:

    • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
    • Selection Criteria: JKCET rank.
    • Period: 4 years.
    • Admission: Overall admission for B.Tech programmes is 330 seats, among the five courses.

    BCET Samba Documents Required

    • JKCET rank card.
    • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates.
    • Domicile certificate (if applicable).
    • Category certificate (if applicable).
    • Character certificate from the last attended institution.
    • Medical fitness certificate.

    Admission process at BCET Samba requires candidates to submit all their original documents.
