The campus of BIT Raipur is spread across an area of 21.6 acres. The institute strives to provide its students with a multitude of facilities. The college has 3 conference rooms with good audio-video facilities. BIT Raipur is equipped with advanced laboratories for each branch. BIT Raipur offers ample opportunities for students to display their sports acumen. The sports complex of the college is capable of holding 4 outdoor sports events simultaneously. The sports include cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton. The college also provides medical facilities on campus. The bus facility of the college covers various regions of the city. The college understands its student’s needs and thus provides accommodation as well. It has a separate girls hostel and a boys hostel. The mess and canteen serve healthy and hygienic food to the students.

Boys Hostel
The college has a boys' hostel on the college premises. The hostel has a full-time Hostel in charge, a counselor, and is attached to the college mess. The hostel students are provided with breakfast, lunch, evening tea, snacks, and dinner. Utter care is taken for hygiene and pure veg food is served to the students. Both the hostels have newspaper and internet facilities available for the students.
Girls Hostel
The college provides well-furnished hostels. The hostel for Girls is located at Devpuri & New Raipur. It is well protected and has a full-time warden with full safety and security. It is closer to Raipur city, from here, the bus stand, two super-specialty hospitals, and the railway station are easily accessible.

The college An experienced MBBS Doctor has been appointed for the students and staff of BIT Raipur.

The college's sports complex is one of the biggest grounds provided by any institution that can hold on to 4 outdoor sports events simultaneously. It has a cricket pitch, an international standard volleyball court, a football court, a kabbadi, and a badminton court.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure has not been modernised. Facilities are need to be improved in every section of the campus. There are no smart boards in classes to study. Labs should have all the required equipments. No wifi for students.

It is good college for the average one

College Infrastructure

No there is no sufficient infrastructure for engineering courses, facilities can be improved as there is no smart board .Labs should be improvised so as to create professional environment . Buildings are too small.

It could be good if college should have been proper in Raipu

College infrastructure is not so good but it is not so bad also.. although only reason the College to be underrated because it is far from Raipur city.It has three buildings in which all have separate department

Can I get into Bit durg with rank 3168,female rank 918 in cgpet??

Hello aspirant,

Although it's a bit difficult to get some branch in bit durg as per your rank ,but you have some slight Chances of getting electronics and telecommunication engineering in the last rounds of counselling as per previous year statistics as the closing rank was 3438 so you have some chances there.

Is Christian College of engineering and technology bhilai is good for placement? which should I choose bit raipur vs Christian College vs shri shankaracharya bhilai vs bit durg? please help me for selecting college?

Hello Swapnil,

Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai has not recorded very good placements during the past years. Placements are there for CS/IT branch students in companies such as Amazon, Capgemini, CMC, CMS Computers Ltd, Flextronics, HCL, HDFC Bank, Indian Army, Infinite, Persistent Ltd., Shriram Group , SYNTEL, TCS, Tech Mahindra and TEGA INDUSTRIES etc. The average package is around 1.3-1.8 LPA, which is not very good.

Talking about BIT Raipur, the placements are again not very good for branches other than CS/IT, average package is not very high( about 3.5 LPA).

BIT Durg has recorded average package of 3-6 LPA However, highest package offered is better here. It is almost equivalent in terms of facilities, also fees is higher than BIT Raipur.

Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bhilai has placements from companies such as Adani Group, Ashok Leyland, BirlaSoft , Capgemini, CMC, Genpact, HCL, Hexaware Technologies, ICICI Prudential, ICICI Securities, L&T Infotech, Mahindra and Mahindra, Renault Nissan, RetailOn ,Siemens, SONY, Synergy Group, TATA, Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, Unisys India, XL Dynamics, Yahoo etc. The average package is around 3.2 LPA . So placement is good for CS/IT.

BIT Durg has an overall better reputation among the other colleges and thus gives a comparatively better placement than SSTC. The chances of you getting placed is way better in BIT Durg. Rest other factors are almost the same in both.
