The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was started in the year 2002 – 2003 with an intake of 60 and currently it is 240. The Department is highly progressive and has a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. Four faculty members hold the Doctoral degree, and Twelve Faculty members are currently pursuing their Doctorate degrees. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering continues to recruit faculty members with high experience in academics, industry and research. The Department has well-equipped computer laboratories for coursework, teaching and to carry out projects. The servers and nodes are all connected in the network with all necessary licensed software. Exposure to cutting-edge technologies is provided by means of Industrial Projects and technical talks from domain experts of reputed research organizations. The students are encouraged to involve themselves in creative, technical and research activities. Students have been performing well in the university examination.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates shall have passed the 2nd year Pre University or 12th standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects - Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics. The Candidate should have secured not less that 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admissions to engineering.

For engineering admission in bangalore through management quota in BMSIT & M, the minimum percentage of marks expected is 60% as per the current norms of the management.

Management Quota: The admission under management quota is processed in the office of the BMS Educational Trust. The Council of Trustees decide the tuition fee for various courses under management quota and seats are allotted by the Chief of the Admission Committee. The BMS Educational Trust advertises regarding the admission and the application forms are issued to the aspirants in the month of June / July of every year.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure of the college is great. They have all the necessary facilities. Projectors in classrooms and labs, good wifi connection throughout the college is available. There’s a well maintained library with ample space that can accommodate many students. Cleanliness is given a high priority be it in the classrooms or the food court.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is nice and well-equipped. The facilities and amenities are top-notch. Smart classrooms are innovative and libraries are huge. The hostels are also well-maintained. The living spaces are clean and food is tasty.

Overall the college is good with good placement.

College Infrastructure

The college has everything. The infrastructure is good with lots of greenery. The college is well equipped with every basic necessity. Classrooms are good with proper wifi. Library and laboratory are really good with everything available. The best part is college hostel which is very good compared to other colleges because hostel facilities are really praiseworthy along with hostel food quality. Veg and non veg mess are far apart and different because many students do not like it. Overall good.
