The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2002-03. The department is currently headed by Dr. M. C. Hanumantharaju (HOD) with an approved intake of 90. The department has well experienced and qualified faculty members who inspire the students to face the competitive world. Currently, out of the 22 faculty members, two faculty members hold Ph. D degree and 16 are pursuing their Doctoral Degree from various reputed Universities. Consistent performance by the students of the Department in examinations is a reflection of the sincere efforts put in by all faculty members.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates shall have passed the 2nd year Pre University or 12th standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects - Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics. The Candidate should have secured not less that 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admissions to engineering.

For engineering admission in bangalore through management quota in BMSIT & M, the minimum percentage of marks expected is 60% as per the current norms of the management.

Management Quota: The admission under management quota is processed in the office of the BMS Educational Trust. The Council of Trustees decide the tuition fee for various courses under management quota and seats are allotted by the Chief of the Admission Committee. The BMS Educational Trust advertises regarding the admission and the application forms are issued to the aspirants in the month of June / July of every year.

College Infrastructure

Overall the infrastructure of the college is quite good and supports academic activities effectively. Classrooms are large and well maintained. Laboratories are properly organized and useful for practical work. The library is a valuable resource for students who want to study in a quiet environment. The campus is green and well maintained which gives a positive atmosphere

College Infrastructure

The university has a clean and modern look, which creates a good first impression. Hostel facilities are secure and disciplined, but the fees feel a bit high considering the food quality and room size. In the campus there are soo many trees which we feel no calm and nicee.

This college is having all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. We are having laboratories, libraries with n no. Of books, journals , sports equipments, projector, smart board, hostel , wifi , computer labs , living space is good and clean, hygiene food is given to students
