This is one of prestigious oldest medical college of kolkata. The college has provided hostel rooms for students ( boys & girls separate) with wifi connections though in my time it was quite different. The college has all essential laboratories, workshops for students to learn the subjects properly. The classroom are also neat and clean.

Academics of this medical college is pretty good as most of the faculties are experienced as well have multiple degrees to provide the students' essential knowledge. The academics is quite strict & rigorous, so students have to really study well to pass in exam.

Many of the students got selected for Housestaffship in this college. Others also get same in other colleges or in their desired colleges. Some of them after pursuing internships, pursue higher studies through various entrance exam. Overall the colleges provides ample opportunity to it's students for future career growth.

Infrastructure and facilities are excellent but not all modern equipments are available. There are well maintained 5 lecture theatres with Air conditioning, Whiteboard as well as blackboard. There are 2 boys' hostel and 2 ladies' hostel. All of them are well maintained. Students have a lot of fun there. The food available at hostel and college canteen are hygienic but a little costly. WiFi is being installed in the hostels gradually for the students.

I am studying MBBS as I respected Doctors and wanted to become one. The faculties available in this college are very helpful and experienced. They have necessary skills and experience in all the equipments needed. They always keep themselves updated with the latest inventions in the field and makes sure to teach us about it as well even if it's not in the curriculum. Students can get enough experience in the college and the adjacent hospital to help them boecome an outstanding doctor.

There are many renowned Doctors worldwide who graduated from this college. And many doctors graduate each year from this college. All of them definitely have enough experience to earn their living and above all help the humanity for what they have been trained all their college life.

I am currently in 2nd year and it costs Rs. 4500 for each semester. Considering a medical college and fees of other colleges, it's quite affordable. The opportunities we get and the experience we learn everyday,i would say the money's worth all of it. Though there are many areas in which the college may upgrade

The college campus is somehow small... There is a ground in which all the functions take place. And a small ground for sports and mostly spending quality times with friends. Students do play volleyball, shadow cricket etc.Some support staffs for laboratories are very helpful and friendly. The college is situated in a very crowded place. But that doesn't bother with education at all. And since the hospital is just at the opposite side of the road, any emergency can be tackled easily.

Overall, the college might not be the best medical college in Calcutta but it serves its purpose of making doctors diligently.
