CIMP Patna Course Admission 2024 - Fees, Date, Cutoff & Eligibility

The institute offers CIMP admission to P.G.D.M and FPM programmes. Chandragupt Institute of Management admission is based on national level entrance exam score. For CIMP admission to the P.G.D.M programme, candidates have to appear and secure a valid score in CAT/ CMAT/ XAT. Then, candidates are selected on the basis of test scores in CAT, XAT, CMAT and criteria like previous academic record and relevant work experience. However, shortlisted candidates  have to further qualify Writing Ability Test (WAT), group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). Chandragupt Institute of Management  intends to fill the number of seats based on the proportion of applications received via CAT(70%), XAT(10%), CMAT(20%). 

CIMP admission to FPM is done on the basis of candidates' scores in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ NET. Along with their application, candidates must submit a synopsis of roughly 5000 words on the topic of their research interest (tentative research proposal). Before the selection committee, each candidate must give a presentation. Candidates are shortlisted based on their test scores in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ NET, past academic records, relevant work experience, and presentation. Further, shortlisted candidates are called for Research Proposal Presentation and personal interview (PI). The last step includes verification of documents and Chandragupt Institute of Management admission fee payment. The complete CIMP admission procedure is explained below in detail. 

CIMP Application Process

• The application form along with the admission brochure can be downloaded from the website of the institute or can be procured from the CIMP campus.

• One has to pay the Chandragupt Institute of Management application fee through cash or credit card/ debit card/bank transfer through the designated payment gateway.

• Payment can also be made by demand draft, drawn in favour of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, payable at Patna, giving CIMP Application Registration number on the reverse of the demand draft. All payments by demand draft are to be sent to CIMP.

• The duly filled application form can be submitted directly / online mode. 

CIMP PG Admissions

Chandragupt Institute of Management offers two postgraduate programmes. The PG courses offered by CIMP are P.G.D.M and FPM. The course duration of P.G.D.M is 2 years and FPM is 4 years. To be eligible for admission P.G.D.M admission, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university.

• Candidates have to appear for CAT/ XAT/ CMAT and secure a valid score.

• Then, candidates are required to fill out the application form and pay the application fee.

• Shortlisting of candidates is done based on test scores of CAT, XAT and CMAT and criteria like previous academic record and relevant work experience. 

• Further, shortlisted candidates have to appear for a group discussion (GD), personal interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT).

• The final merit is prepared after considering weighted scores of the candidates on several components like the academic record, test score, work experience and performance in Writing Ability Test (10%), group discussion (10%) and personal interview (20%).

• Final admission is considered after verification of documents and CIMP admission fee payment.

CIMP FPM Admission Procedure

• First, candidates should appear for CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ NET and obtain a valid test score. 

• Candidates must fill out the application form and pay the required application fee.

• The candidates have to submit a synopsis of about 5000 words on the area of their research interest (tentative research proposal) along with the application. Every candidate has to make a presentation before the selection committee.

• Shortlisting of the candidates is done based on the test scores (CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ NET) (20%), previous academic record (20%), relevant work experience and the quality of presentation.

• The shortlisted candidates are then called for Research Proposal Presentation (40%) and personal interview (PI) (20%).

• Final admission is offered after verification of documents and course fee payment.
