I find the infrastructure quite satisfactory. The college has all the necessary facilities including spacious and ventilated classrooms, well-equipped science laboratories, a rich library with a wide range of books and journals, and dedicated computer labs. Most classrooms are fitted with projectors or smart boards, and Wi-Fi is available across the campus, although it works best in the library and computer labs. We also have a large auditorium and several seminar halls that are used frequently for lectures, events, and cultural activities. The sports ground is well-maintained and there's a gym facility for students as well. The college hostel provides basic amenities, and the rooms are decently maintained. The hostel food is hygienic, and the mess staff is cooperative. Overall, the campus is clean and green, and the housekeeping staff ensures that the washrooms and common areas are regularly cleaned. The infrastructure supports a healthy learning environment and makes student life on campus comfortable and productive
I am currently pursuing the B.Com Programme at Daulat Ram College. I chose this course because it offers a strong foundation in commerce and business, which is essential for my goal of entering the finance and corporate sector. The quality of teaching here is quite good—most professors are well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. They make an effort to explain complex topics clearly and also encourage class participation and discussions. Some teachers even use presentations and real-life examples to make concepts more relatable. The curriculum is structured under the University of Delhi framework, and it covers important subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Law, Corporate Governance, and Economics. While the syllabus is mostly theoretical, it is updated regularly and includes recent trends and developments in the field. There are also regular internal assessments and projects that help in building practical skills. Although there could be more opportunities for internships or industry exposure, the academic environment is serious and disciplined. I feel that the course is preparing me well for higher studies or entry-level jobs in the business world.
I am currently pursuing a B.Com Programme at Daulat Ram College, and I’ve closely observed the placement scenario over the past couple of years. The quality of placements at our college is fairly good, especially for students from commerce and economics backgrounds. The Placement Cell is quite active and works hard to bring in reputed companies every year. It also organizes pre-placement talks, resume-building workshops, and mock interviews which are really helpful for preparation. In the last placement season, approximately 55-60% of the registered students were placed. The highest package offered was around ₹10 LPA, which went to a student from the Economics (Hons.) department. Most of the companies that visit the campus offer roles in auditing, finance, consulting, HR, and marketing. Some of the regular recruiters include Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Teach for India, and Wipro. The average salary offered typically ranges between ₹3 to ₹5 LPA. The placement process was smooth and well-coordinated, and the placement team was supportive at every step. While there is still scope for improvement in terms of expanding the range of companies and roles offered, overall the placement experience at Daulat Ram College has been positive and has helped many students secure their first job right after graduation.
As a B.Com Programme student at Daulat Ram College, my course fee is approximately ₹32,000–₹35,000 per year, which is quite affordable compared to many private colleges. Considering the quality of education, the experienced faculty, the exposure through societies and events, and the overall support system available at the college, I definitely feel that I’m getting full value for my money. The college offers well-maintained infrastructure, access to a vast library, career counseling support, and a range of placement opportunities. Various fests, seminars, and workshops are also conducted regularly without any additional cost. For the amount we pay, the facilities and academic environment provided are more than satisfactory. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment in terms of both academic and personal growth.
Campus life at Daulat Ram College is vibrant, inclusive, and full of energy. The college is known for its beautiful green campus, spacious lawns, and peaceful environment. One of the best features is the wide variety of student societies, including cultural, academic, and departmental societies that organize events, competitions, seminars, and fests throughout the year. Students can engage in activities like dramatics, debate, dance, music, photography, and social service, which really help in personality development beyond academics. The students are friendly and enthusiastic, which creates a positive and encouraging environment. The teachers are approachable and supportive both inside and outside the classroom. The support staff is also cooperative and helpful. The college is located in North Campus, Delhi University, which is a prime and safe location with good connectivity and access to emergency services. The campus has basic medical facilities, security staff, and CCTV surveillance, making it a safe space for students. Overall, the campus life at Daulat Ram College is outstanding—it offers a great balance of academics, extracurriculars, and personal growth.
Infrastructure of college is okay okay. starting from the gate then the auditorium, then moving to administrative building is also good . But the benches of the classroom is not good & washroom is not good. There is girls hostel also.
Yeah academics of our college is good. Teachers are well qualified, very helpful and motivating. They are very nice & their way of teaching is also good . I love the academic faculties. They take test, quizzes and give assignment. Exam are held to check our performance.
As I'm a final year student here at this college, I have learned that placement opportunities from this college are not so good but it's developing & hope so it will fully develop soon. Students have to learn most of the things by themselves, and have to get ready for intership also by themselves,
I'm not sure about other courses but my course i.e bcom. So it is high fee as compared to other good college for the course. So I think so fee should be less.
Campus Life is also good as it up to the student how they make their campus Life amazing. When it's come to the college side from them it's good .
The colloege have a decent infrastructure. It has the du vibe and the front lawn the is Best . although there is still a room for improvement as the campus is a little bit small. The rooms are quite decent but one side of building have a little smaller rooms fit for classes of like 30 students only.
The faculty of the college is really good . They are all experienced teachers but personally some teachers are like not putting much effort like using the board instead of just reading out ppt. But like if you have a good grasping power maybe you can learn the concepts easily.
I'm personally not interested in placements as i have some other degree to pursue after graduation but the placement cell of our college is active and constantly working and helping the students to create a good cv and good companies come to hire. I think you can expect an average of 6-7lpa package.
The college fees is high as compared to many other colleges of DU. I don't think this is a complete value for money college but it is decent.
My campus life was average like I'm always running for assignments and all along with my CA studies. So i don't roam around much but was ok ok. One thing about DRC that it feels like a safe environment and a decent canteen(i love the sandwiches of amul store in college)
Infrastructure is good but proper cleaning of washrooms is required. Its not the responsibility of cleaning staff but also of the students. Would really appreciate if the washrooms are clean and proper sanitation is theee
Faculty is really nice and understanding. Really appreciate the open mindedness of the profs. They are very helpful and smart. But not every prof is like that there is diversity and it teaches us how to handle every person
I genuinely have no clue. I just that pcell is active and there are people who are sorkin really hard for our college so thst they can provide ample of opportunities to the students. But im not aware about placement rates as such.
It is great actually. The course fees is just 30k per year which is affordable and the facilities are good so i think it's worth it. Its a whole new experience you learn and grow alot. You learn how to survive and tackle different students and profs
Ohh i love it not just our college but the ehole north campus. Uts a vibe and i really like the fact that everyone is studious and smart around me.
Nah
It's just normal as it should be. Nothing much fancy as such. The basic amenities are available and the ground also has a descent area for fests and sports. Overall it's not worth the fee amount but it's just ok.
I am pursuing Bachelors of commerce (Honours course) to have a career in the commerce domain. The quality of teaching is fine. Teachers teach what they should not more or less than that. The curriculum is as per the guidelines.
I don't have much idea about placements but as much I have heard there are not much placements and if there are, not for very big firms/companies/body corporates. May be depends on the scores overall.
The infrastructure is decent.College lacks some basic facilities such as clean drinking water, wifi and ac in classrooms. Other than that in our laboratories there are good equipment in working condition.
I am persuing botany hons. And the faculty is really good .Yes the curriculum is updated and include all the recent developments in the fields.Faculty is good they help us in every possible way and overall their teaching is good.
I am not very aware of the placement of college and specially in our course I don't think there are much opportunities of placements. It will be helpful if there will be more opportunities for courses like us.
I think the fees in little bit more than other colleges of North campus it will be worthy of we get some basic needs like wifi etc.
It's good
As a third year studenr at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, I’ve had a truly enriching academic an personal journey so far. DRC has it’s own charm and a mix of strong academics, an energetic student community and alot of growth opportunities.
Most of our faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable. They are often open to discussion and willing to guide you beyond the syllabus if you show interest, while some lectures can feel theory heavy.
If you take initiative you can build your own opportunities at DRC. There are seminars, workshops, placement talks, and society level networking events. While placements for BA program students might not be as structured as professional courses but those who work on their skills can get through easily
Yeah it’s average in that terms because of the infrastructure but the fees is extremely affordable.
I love that part, it’s great
Overall experiences is good in this college as the they do have the sufficient infrastructure but it could be made better. Wifi need to provide all across the college campus as the network is really bad inside the campus.
Academically the college is really good The teachers are really good and they are really supportive. The college really focuses on the academics of the students and try to complete the syllabus on time.
Well the quality of the placements is not very good. As most of the students do not get placement from college but those who do get are said to have average salary package.the quality of placement need to be improved.
Only some of the classrooms have AC's in it, which they barely work, it's really uncomfortable in the summer. They are renovating few spaces and building a separate block for humanities and commerce students.
I'm studying Eco Hons. The teachers are friendly, classes might get cancelled depending on the teacher but most of them do take classes as per the schedule. The curriculum is updated. They conduct regular doubt solving classes too.
The placement cell is good and guide through the placement season, which makes it a little less burdensome. Some of the seniors got place in Accenture. Usually the highest package goes to Eco and Stats students.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure like labs and libraries but it's campus is quite small and so are classrooms. very few smart boards and no wifi. College is well maintained and clean in this.
I'm studying life science, and both theory and practical is taught well, and classes are very regular. But it doesn't make me job ready and follows old school teaching methods. Overall curriculum is old.
Placement are not good. Average package is very low. It's mostly around 6 lpa average and highest goes to 23 lpa. The no. of companies that come for placement drives are very less. Could be better in this.
