CUSAT Application Process

  •  In addition to the application form, applicants must submit several documents.

Admission eligibility depends on the course. The candidates usually need to have passed the last degree from a recognised university with the required marks or CGPA. For graduation programmes, students usually need to pass 10+2 with the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Postgraduate candidates usually need a bachelor's in science or engineering.

CUSAT B.Tech Admission Process

B.Tech VLSI Design and Technology: The department's most popular undergraduate programme with an intake of 60 students. CUSAT admission to the programme would likely be merit-based on a relevant entrance examination or 10+2 scores. 

CUSAT M.Tech Admission Process

There are some M.Tech courses with different intake capacities:

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (27 seats)
  • VLSI Design (18 seats)
  • Advanced Communication Technology (12 seats)
  • Defence Technology (unspecified number of seats)

These courses tend to be given admissions based on GATE scores, with a possible interview session. A suitable B.Tech or equivalent is needed in order to be shortlisted.

CUSAT M.Sc Electronics Science Admission Process

M.Sc Electronics Science: The capacity in this course is 25. CUSAT admission would most probably be on the basis of a combination of the candidate's performance in the undergraduate course and the marks obtained in an appropriate entrance test. The course is for candidates who want to specialise in electronics at the postgraduate level under a science stream.

CUSAT Ph.D. Electronics Admission Process

Ph.D. Electronics: The department provides doctoral level courses in electronics. CUSAT admission to Ph.D. courses generally involves an entrance test and/or interview procedure. The applicants should possess a master's degree in the relevant branch of electronics or allied science.

CUSAT Documents Required

Applicants must submit several documents, such as:

  • Marks sheets and certificates of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, Bachelor's as applicable)
  • Entrance exam score card (wherever applicable)
  • Category certificates (in case of reserved categories)
  • ID proof and recent passport-size photographs
