DIMR Pune Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

The name of Dnyansagar Institute of Management and Research (DIMR) is well known in the management education circle from Pune. Its admission process is stringent, as it must select the best candidates for its programs from the lot of budding managers.  So, DIMR Pune has an entrance exam, C-MAT. Apart from that, the institute considers other scores, similar to national and state levels-BMH-MBA CET, MAT, etc. Each of these exams is conducted at different times in one year; CMAT applications are made around November/December and MAH MBA CETs are mostly in March. For an MBA program, the institute's flagship program, one must have completed graduation from a recognized university. The most promising students are chosen for admission based on their performance on entrance exams followed by several checkup rounds. 

Application Process

Different programs at DIMR Pune need slightly diverse processes depending on the entrance exams that are used to screen candidates. Here's a brief outline of what candidates generally do during their application process:

1. Entrance Exam:

• Register and appear for one of the accepted entrance exams (CMAT, MAH MBA CET, or MAT).
• For CMAT, applications are typically open from mid-November to late December.
• MAH MBA CET is usually conducted in March.
• MAT is held multiple times a year.

2. Application Submission:

• Visit the official DIMR website  and look for the admission or application section.
• Fill out the online application form with accurate personal and academic details.
• Upload required documents, which may include:
• Passport size photograph
• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets
• Entrance exam scorecard
• Any other certificates as specified by the institute

3. Application Fee: Pay the required application fee as mentioned on the website.

4. Admission Process:

• For CAP rounds (MBA): If eligible, participate in the centralized admission process conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
• For Institute Level admissions: Wait for the institute to announce shortlisted candidates based on entrance exam scores.

5. Further Evaluation: Shortlisted candidates may be called for additional rounds such as group discussions, personal interviews, or written ability tests.

6. Final Selection: The final selection is based on the candidate's overall performance in the entrance exam and subsequent evaluation rounds.

7. Admission Confirmation: Candidates who are successful will be notified and must complete the admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment, within the stipulated time frame.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBA: Master of Business Administration from the DIMR can be earned in two years as a full-time course, with an intake of 180 students. The admission process of the MBA program at DIMR goes through two different routes-1. CAP rounds- Candidate has to appear for MAH-CET conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra; 2. Institute Level - Can apply through valid score of MAH-CET, CMAT, or MAT CET whichever applicable in that year.

The selection is on the basis of the entrance exam score combined with further screening tests as deemed fit by the management.

MCA: DIMR also has a three-year MCA program with an intake of 120 seats. The admission process for MCA is not stated, but theoretically, it involves any entrance exam prescribed with MCA degree-level papers.
