Dr JJ Magdum Polytechnic, Jaysingpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Dr. JJ Magdum Polytechnic Jaysingpur has a separate hostel section under the management of the Hostel Management Committee. This committee is headed by its Chairperson. The Chief Warden, who is the secretary of the Committee, administers the day to day aspects of the hostel management. Each hostel has a Warden from the teaching faculty of the colleges who are responsible for the discipline, maintenance of the building, allotment of rooms, etc. The hostel staff consists of caretakers/ block supervisors, other attendants. There are messes located at different areas of the Campus separately for boys.

The library is well-maintained. We have about 10000 Books and 4500 Textbooks, National and International journals. We have Book Bank Scheme for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Students and a Book Bank scheme for other students also on payment basis. We also have a subscription to multiple copies of National, regional, and local newspapers and magazines. We have a very good Reading Room, where users of the library can find calm – the total environment is conducive to reading. Facilities: Open Access to All Users, Staff 06 Books issued for one Semester, Pass out students 02 Books issued for 15 days, Students can use one book/Magazine/ Journal for 7 days, Special study section for girls, Book Bank Facility to More than 400 Students, Free Book Bank Facility to SC/ST Scholarship Students, Reference Service, Current Awareness Service.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The Institute is situated on Jaysingpur-Shirolwadi road about 2.5 km.away from the Railway Station & 1 km away from Jaysingpur bus stand. The location is easily accessible. The institute has provided own bus facility bus from Miraj city, Sangli, for faculty and local students. Also, there is a City Bus facility Sangli city to Institute.
