The college is big but it doesn’t have all the necessary facilities and equipments which are required Also There is not much hygiene in the college and the mess area is also not so clean So the overall infrastructure is poor only
The academic in the college is average as currently i’m pursuing BA history hons the quality of teaching is good and the college is following recent guidelines but the teachers are not so much supportive
The placement in the college is pretty good as the ratio was about 40-50% also the highest package of previous year was around 36LPA which is far better from so many colleges The college got offers from so many big companies
The campus is clean and well-planned, with spacious classrooms, good ventilation, and mostly functional smart boards. The library is a big plus—quiet, well-lit, and stocked with enough books and study space. Labs are modern and maintained, though a few need upgrades. Hostels and common areas are comfortable but could be better managed. Overall, the infrastructure supports learning well, even if it’s not perfect.
Academics here strike a strong balance between structure and flexibility. Most professors explain concepts clearly and are approachable outside class, which really helps before exams and project submissions. The syllabus is mostly updated and focuses on building fundamentals rather than just rote learning. Internal assessments keep you consistent, though the workload can feel heavy at times. Overall, if you attend classes sincerely, this college gives you solid academic growth and confidence.
Placements here are decent but not outstanding. A few good companies visit every year, mostly offering average packages. Top performers usually get placed, while others need to rely on self-effort and off-campus opportunities. The placement cell is supportive, but results depend more on individual skills than the college brand. Overall, satisfactory placements if you stay proactive and realistic.
this college sits comfortably in the average zone. The fees are reasonable compared to many private colleges, and for that amount, the college delivers the basics without major complaints. Classrooms, library access, exams, and administration work fairly smoothly, even if nothing feels premium or modern. Faculty quality is mixed—some teachers genuinely try to help and explain concepts well, while others just finish the syllabus. Still, considering the fee structure, expectations stay balanced. You’re not paying for top-tier professors or advanced facilities, so the experience matches the cost. Campus life is simple. There are limited events and activities, but enough to break routine if you participate. Facilities like labs, canteen, and common areas are usable, not impressive. Maintenance could be better, but it’s acceptable for the fees better
The campus has enough space to breathe and hang out, but it’s not very happening. Some days feel lively with friends and small events, while other days are just quiet and routine. Facilities are decent—not impressive, not disappointing. You won’t feel wowed, but you also won’t feel completely bored. Overall, campus life here is average, manageable, and mostly what you make of it.
Dayal Singh college is one of the best colleges of new Delhi located on Lodhi road, South Delhi near stadium. It offers a wide range of graduate and undergraduate courses. It has spacious classrooms and Wi-Fi enabled campus and well-equipped laboratories.
Academics part of college is also very good and has a rigorous and widely respected curriculum. Faculty is also very supportive and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They provide 17 honors courses and 2 PG courses.
They have placement cell that organizes workshops regarding resume development, soft skills, training and connect recruiters with students in their interested fields. Reports show 30-70 percent placement rates.
DU has an average fee structure compared to other private and government colleges making it affordable for many scholars to take admission in, students gave a review of 3.5 - 4 out of 5 through their experience.
DU offers a active campus life to students providing them with events, festivals, art, culture, dramatics etc. DU has positive surroundings that encourage friendships, social inclusion and a lively environment.
I will recommend this college to my friends and relatives who want to pursue degree from a reputed college.
college is 11 Acres big campus and it has a very good playground and great basketball ground also the rose garden is hell crazy a stuff . also canteen is big and cold coffee is my fav . also the academic blocks
Im studying computer science and its a great great course also the teachers are very nice and helpful here our dept is doing great and bcom faculty is also very nice here i really appreciate that thing here
placement Team is very professional and also a very great placement coordinators are very good in their skills and the placement is also great here 24.8 LPA HIGHEST package of our college appreciation for that too
College has great infra canteen and it labs and computer science department is well versed in its own self also the basketball court also the ground is way more big then any other du college . 11 acres of campus
Very Great academics our alumni is working in Apple and Google but there are no new technical equipment because teacher's have not taught new skills . Only that is not a goodd thing rest is all fine and good
Placement Team of the college is best highest package of 24.8 LPA And average Of 6.5 LPA and also the team members of cell are very professional team that is the best part like the way of working of these teams
Infrastructure is above average for a DU college in that location. The lack of hostel is a downside especially if you are coming from outside Delhi. If you value library + campus location + sports/social space, DSC is good. But if you expect brand-new buildings, AC everywhere, big hostel/residential campus — you may need to adjust expectations.
For a general UG college under DU, the academics at DSC seem solid. If your aim is to get a strong foundational undergraduate education (especially if you plan PG or competitive exams), it’s a good fit. If you aim for very high-end specialized career path that demands state-of-the-art labs or strong vocational training, you might need to supplement accordingly.
If your interest is in a commerce/analytics/finance/marketing route and you aim to actively engage with placements, DSC offers good opportunity. But if you expect “top tech company for all students in all courses”, that may not be realistic. Ensure you supplement with personal skill building (internships, projects) especially since the college is not specialized tech/engineering.
Overall good value for money for its category (DU college). As with many public colleges, you get reasonable fees plus decent infrastructure. The major cost variable may be accommodation and additional expenses depending on your location.
Campus life at DSC is one of its stronger aspects. If you like being involved in societies/events and value a vibrant undergraduate experience (beyond just academics), this college looks promising
infra is descent. Needs a lot of improvement. There is Strick need of having more classrooms so that more classes can be accommodated. Tuts are not being taken for the same reason . The existing infra needs renovation .
Talking about academics, it is pretty good, specially the department of political science, it works smoothly with maximum classes being held. Moreover the overall faculty is also supportive and friendly.
Sorry but the placement aspect of almost all colleges of DU are very poor and one of them is of dyal singh college too. If not placements.. The college hardly provides any internship opportunities on its own.
yes the infra is good i really believe that i could be better but its good only also canteen is big enough red benches aremy fav spot . lib has good wifi and crowd is crazy i feel like i got the best
bcom is very populare in du and i really feel that i m enjoying this thing as a student here the area is cool so people with goiod academics are here and i feel that i would develop my personality here
placement cell is very active the core of the cell is very helpful and we get internships also and placement highest is 24.8 LPA 2024 batch which is good as du and also very high as a fesher in du as bcom student
Very good infrastructure and have all the details in this and faculty is very nice but I feel it could be better than anything else I feel this could be very much better i feel nice when this happens.
mine experience was extremely lethargic as the college management sometimes feels to be little inactive and can't even sometimes manage their own students.Creating many departments in a single college.
Very great placement in the college very active cell in the college I feel like this could be better but still feel nice tha cell is active wow college and nice cell , placement cell is active of my college
