Dear aspirant,

As you are from CW1 category and considering your academic results and also that you want to know about the cat percentile to convert FMS delhi. See to get fms you need a very high score in cat atleast 99.6-99.7+ . But it can vary according to some factors.

Hello student,

Each year Indian Institute of Management, conducts Common Aptitude Test or CAT examination to provide admission in MBA degree to various IIMs and business schools.

Actually the cutoff trend changes every year.and it depends upon some factors like total number of students difficulty of paper slot etc. However here is a short cut off percentile list of top IIMs

  • For IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta  99 percentile
  • For IIM Lucknow Indore 97+ percentile
  • Faculty of Management studies New Delhi 98+ percentile

Hey,

You have a pretty decent academic profile with a very good CAT percentile. Since you belong to obc category you might expect a call from them but being a male engineer can create a problem. But still keep your hopes high. Since FMS consider the overall composite score, converting the call without considering gdpi score might give you lesser chances. You need to get a good score in them too. But as you said the gd might get cancelled due to pandemic but the PI wouod probably take place virtually. Also FMS might release their shortlist by this week tentatively.

You can also check the link below for further queries regarding FMS-

I hope this helps.

Thankyou

Hey,

Well you do have a chance to get an admission if you perform brilliant in your CAT and the subsequent rounds of Fms, DU. FMS do look up for past academic records and give points for it but they don't give it much importance if you do well in your CAT result and then the subsequent rounds of it like GD, PI, extempore speech. You need to give your best and keep a target of getting 99+ percentile and nothing less if you're a GEM (General engineering male).

Hope this helps.

Hey,

Your academics are pretty low to target old IIMs to be very honest. You need to target at least 99% percentile so as to be considered for the interview of old IIMs. That's too not a surety.

Different colleges have different criteria according to which they prepare an Index score for each candidate. And the students securing above the index score are selected for the interview round.

Try to to score as high as possible. Anything below 99 percentile would make it difficult for you.

Hope that helps.

All the best

Thank you.

Hey,

Generally the percentile required for CW-5 is below than what required for OBC category. OBC candidates requires 95+ percentile in CAT to make through FMS while CW-5 can expect a call at 70+ percentile as well.

Also, the composite score is obviously way lower for cw when compared to obc after extempore and further interview rounds.

Hope this helps.

Hey,

XLRI doesn't give any weightage to CAT since they conduct their own test called XAT. XAT is any other mba exam somewhat like CAT with two additional sections of decision making and GK, which gives admission in XLRI and may other colleges.

Whereas FMS consider only CAT score to get admission in it. Also you hav to fill a separate form for FMS apart from CAT to apply in their college once the CAT score is out.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dear,

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi offers admission to two year MBA programme in its campus. However, The selection is not just made on the basis of 10th and 12th marks but on following basis too:

  • Group Discussion
  • Extempore

The infrastructure is different from department to department. Some departments have really high-tech facilities, and others are pretty basic. Libraries are fantastic for marketing resources. There are some problems with parking and Wi-Fi on many campuses.
