Like IIMs, do FMS, Delhi School of Economics, and Delhi School of Finance, release sectional cutoffs as well?

Hi Dear,

Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi consider sectional percentile while calculating composite score. But there is no cut off for sectional cut off for Delhi School of Economics (DSE), University of Delhi and Delhi School of Finance, Delhi. The cut off changes every year. Other colleges not having sectional cut off is as follows:

Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi (DMS, IITD)
Department of Management Studies IIT Madras (DoMS, IITM)
Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee (DoMS, IITR)

GEM fresher CAT percentile 99.13(VA 99.5 DILR 68.84 Quants 99.48). What calls to expect among IIT D, Kgp, Madras, NITIE, FMS?

Dear aspirant,

As far as FMS is concerned there is no chance to get a call from this as the sectional cut off is very high according to your score.

But you can accept a call from iit kgp,madras and delhi too. Even nitie is not possible to crack because of your file sectional cut off because it is 80 percentile for each subject.

With the academic record which you have mentioned in the question you should have at least 95 or more percentile in CAT 2021 for IIMS like IIM ABC or any other good IIM and for FMS as well you should try to get at least 92 percentile in CAT as you belongs to ST category. But the CAT 2020 percentile which you have mentioned, you may get chance in following B-Schools :-

Good morning. I've scored 95 percentile in CAT 2020, with 9.8 GPA in 10th, 82.4 percent in 12th and 7.1 GPA in B.tech with multiple extracurricular and college-level organizational roles. How likely is my acceptance into FMS, Delhi?

Having a more or less average academic record in 10/12/B.Tech and secondly being from the highly competitive GEM (General-Engineer-Male) Category, assuming you are a GENERAL Candidate, I believe you have bleak chances in securing call from FMS Delhi in lieu of your percentile of 95 in CAT.

I would advise you to target newer IIMs, Management Schools of Older IITs like SJSOM IITB, VGSOM IIT KGP, DMS IIT Delhi and IIT Madras as well as Other Good Management Institutes accepting CAT Score like MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR and IMT Ghaziabad.

I have secured 85.11 percentile in cat 2020 and in graduation i have 63% ,in class 12th I have 84.2% and in class 10th I have 88.5% and I am from obc category .Can i get admission to fms bhu .

According to your question it looks like you are confused between FMS Delhi and IMS BHU because there is no FMS BHU so if you are asking for FMS Delhi then on such CAT percentile there are no chances for you to get call from FMS Delhi because CAT cut-off for FMS Delhi generally variates around 98 percentile and for OBC category too it's quite high but if you are talking about IMS BHU then there are good chances for you to get call from IMS BHU on such percentile and category because cut-off for IMS BHU generally variates around 85 percentile and also note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's shortlisting data which is subject to change every year depending upon various factors. College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is different from department to department. Some departments have really high-tech facilities, and others are pretty basic. Libraries are fantastic for marketing resources. There are some problems with parking and Wi-Fi on many campuses.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is above average. It has all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, A/C classrooms, library and medical facilities. Labs and classrooms are air-conditioned and contain all the required material. The mess was also designed well, and the food was awesome.

College Infrastructure

We are having one of the highest faculty to students ratio and average experience of faculty is around 20 years , combined this with the rich fu network , we are able to access different databases . And infrastructure also good .
