The Government Polytechnic Hamirpur facilities department is determined to offer its students a full range of facilities that will not only guarantee their academic achievement but also their overall health and happiness. The Government Polytechnic facilities include modern laboratories, workshops, and computer centres.
There is also a library in GPCH, which has a large number of books, journals, and periodicals. Besides that, GPCH facilities offer great sports facilities like a swimming pool, gymnasium and basketball court.
Besides debates, seminars, and workshops, GPCH facilities also arrange other extracurricular activities to foster students' all-round development. There is also hostel accommodation for boys and girls in the Government Polytechnic Hamirpur with all the necessary facilities.

- Library
The College has its central library which contains large numbers of books, about different courses, the latest journals, technical and nontechnical magazines, and newspapers (English & Hindi). To help, the students belonging to low-income groups and deprived classes the institution provides a free book bank facility. More than 150 nos. of students benefited each semester from this facility. The library is fully computerized and an internet facility is also available. To access the information easily about the books, a Kiosk with Library Automation Software has been provided. The Internet Facility has been provided in the library and is also connected to the local area network. The library has also been facilitated with a Photostat machine where students can get photo state copies by paying a nominal amount. The book reservation facility has been extended to students and faculty members. The latest years have been procured in the library. The library has sufficient space and furniture to cater to the needs of the students.
- Sports
Government Polytechnic Hamirpur is promoting outdoor recreation and sports by providing separate sports facilities within the college building as well as on the ground. Students are free to engage in games such as cricket, football, and volleyball, while for other indoor games like table tennis, chess, and carrom, facilities are available to enhance students' recreational and competitive spirits.
