Government Polytechnic Ratnagiri has a dedicated hostel for boys and girls. With 100 intake for the boys' hostel, with 32 students in the first year of Diploma in Engineering, 32 in the second year and 32 in the third year. For boys belonging to the Diploma in Pharmacy course, the intake is 2 for first-year students and 2 for second-year students. 

For the girls' hostel, the total seat intake is 54, with 18 seats each for first, second, and third year students of the Diploma in Engineering and 1 seat each for the Diploma in Pharmacy students.

Government Polytechnic Ratnagiri has a well-equipped modern gymnasium. With all equipment, such as a treadmill and cycling equipment, and dumbbells. All the students and staff can access the gym. 

Government Polytechnic Ratnagiri has a fully-equipped library, with approximately 36,000 books available at the library and 21,000 books available for issue. The average daily library usage by the students is 40 per cent of the total students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has departmental-based laboratories facility for the students. Civil Engineering lab Mechanical Engineering lab Electrical Engineering lab.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The institute has a cafeteria with hygienically prepared food for staff and students. Students can choose from a wide variety of dishes throughout the day.

Over the years, students from different streams have enjoyed their on-the-job roles and professional working cultures in various reputed companies. Students in the second year of all the programs undergo 6 weeks of Industrial training with the objective of developing the traits of Industry culture among them before they enter into the world of industry.
