Government Polytechnic, Sundernagar provides students with all of the resources they need. GP Sundernagar facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, cafeteria, auditorium and many more. GP Sundernagar also has sports facilities for students who want to participate in sports. GP Sundernagar has a spacious well-equipped auditorium for all the cultural activities and various events. GP Sundernagar hostel facilities assist students in meeting their accommodation needs and requirements.

The college has its own hostel facility. It got one Boys hostel with a capacity of 100.
- Girls Hostel
The college has its own hostel facility. It has a hostel for Girls with a capacity of 30.
- Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has its own central library which contains large numbers of. of books, pertaining to different courses, latest journals, technical and non-technical magazines, newspapers (English and Hindi). In order to help, the students belonging to a low-income group and deprived classes the institution provides a free book bank facility. More than 150 nos. of students are being benefited in each semester by this facility. A library is fully computerized and an internet facility is also available.

The college is situated on Chandigarh –Manali National Highway (NH-21) at a distance of 175 Kms. From Chandigarh towards Manali and well connected with the transport facility. The institution has its own 42 seater Bus and the necessary 2-tire, 4-tire vehicles for the training purpose.
