ISB Mohali Admission Process

Indian School of Business (ISB) Mohali Campus is a prestigious institution that reportedly has one of the most highly competitive and rigorous admission processes. ISB Mohali offers four postgraduate programs in management, all tailored toward students at different career levels. The admission policy at ISB Mohali is highly selective, letting in only a few students to its programs every year.

The whole admission process at ISB Mohali is comprehensive, passing through multiple evaluation points. The institution tries to take a candidate from every possible perspective. Academic performance, standard test scores, and work experience come into play to admit an able and diverse cohort. ISB Mohali convenes various standardized test scores, including GMAT, NMAT by GMAC, and GRE.

Rather, the admissions committee assesses fairly all-round profiles of applicants. This encompasses a review of 12th standard grades, graduation grades, post-graduation grades (if any), certifications, alongside the standardized tests. Generally, the application cycle syncs with the academic year beginning from August-September. Although there are slight variations among programs, prospective candidates should be cautious and get started beforehand.

Application process

  1. Choose the right program for your career stage and objectives among PGPM, PGPM for Senior Executives, PGPM Family Business, or PGPM for Working Professionals.

  2. Take the pertinent standardized test. For most programs ISB Mohali honors GMAT, GRE, or NMAT scores. For the PGPM Family Business program, you should then sit the BAT (Business Admissions Test) assessed by ISB.

  3. Collect all pertinent documents that usually include:

    • Academic transcripts (12th standard, graduation, post-graduation if applicable)

    • Standardized test score reports

    • Work experience certificates (if required for the chosen program)

    • Letters of recommendation

    • Statement of purpose or essays as per application specifications

  4. Fully complete the online application form with correct and current information.

  5. Pay the application fee as established for your program.

  6. Submit your application with all the required documents by the specified deadline.

  7. If shortlisted, prepare for and attend further assessments or interviews as directed by the Admissions Committee.

Degree-wise Admission Process

  1. PGPM (Post Graduate Programme in Management):
The flagship program, assesses the ability of the applicants to sustain academic rigor via their academic record and GMAT/GRE scores. The application will review 12th standard grades, graduation grades, post-graduation scores (if applicable), and GMAT/GRE performances.
  2. PGPM for Senior Executives:
Created for those working with significant experience, it will likely assess work experience along that of academics and test scores.
  3. PGPM for Family Business:
Admissions will be based on the Business Admissions Test (BAT) of ISB. It is for applicants with a family business background.
  4. PGPM for Working Professionals:
A program apt for professionals juggling work alongside their studies. Admissions would most likely be based on work experience as well as academic/test credentials.
