Jesus and Mary College (JMC) established one of the first and the earliest placement cells in the University of Delhi undergraduate college, which continues to operate today with the objective of providing various employment and internship opportunities for young women to become economically independent. JMC's Placement Cell works to bridge the gap between students' skill sets and needs in the rapidly changing requirements of the corporate sector. JMC's Placement Cell organises workshops and seminars on essential topics such as resume writing, guesstimates, personal interviews, and HR interviews. The cell encourages students to undertake summer and winter internships to gain skills and build confidence. JMC has a proven track record of placing students in well-known organisations with attractive packages.

In JMC placements 2021-22, 55-60 companies participated, and out of 943 eligible students, 291 were placed, while 345 decided to pursue postgraduate degree or other higher studies options. The undergraduate students got a median salary of Rs. 5.00 lakhs per annum, while for a 4 years degree programme, 17 people got placed with a median salary of Rs. 3.00 Lakhs. The highest package offered at JMC was Rs. 15.5 LPA, and the average package stood at Rs. 6.5 LPA. JMC's Placement Cell continues to play a crucial role in facilitating hassle-free recruitment and empowering young women through employability.
