BA Hindi Hons - Batch of 2020-01-01
Academics
Top class academics. Very smooth process and syllabus, teaching material up to date. Teachers are very cooperative in terms of academics. Students are provided with lot of help from teachers in academics.
College Infra
Infrastructure is good, proper study environment. Chair tables blackboard in proper condition. Infrastructure is overall good, proper sitting arrangement for students. No issues regarding infrastructure.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good. Library, common area, gardens, gym, everything available. Beautiful garden is there, gym area and very good ambience. Amazing college life. Full security is provided to students.
Placements
Placements are average. For literature background no placements. There are good placements for other courses but for literary background students, there are no such placements. Study is good but placement is not there for literature background.
Value For Money
Yes, definitely worthy and value for money. No extra charges except exam fees. Yearly fees is also very reasonable and no other extra charges are applicable. Only, at the time of exams we have to pay examination fees.

Academics
The teachers are graduates from either jmc or from A graded Institutions. The curriculum is also updated time to time.The college emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and leadership through a combination of rigorous coursework, research opportunities, and extracurricular activities. With dedicated faculty, well-equipped facilities, and active student societies, JMC nurtures an environment where academic learning is complemented by cultural, social, and community engagement. Its focus on women’s education and empowerment remains a cornerstone, inspiring students to excel in their chosen fields while contributing meaningfully to society. Over the decades, JMC has built a strong legacy of producing graduates who are confident, socially conscious, and professionally competent.
College Infra
The college infrastructure is peaceful and spacious. All buildings and rooms are well maintained. The fans, lights and ACs are also checked frequently. The garden is also huge. The food in the canteen is hygienic and affordable.
Campus Life
The students are poured with many opportunities in different clubs and societies. The overall vibe is cool. The campus is highly interactive and understanding.
Placements
The placement cell provides us witha a lot of internship opportunities every week. If there are other internship opportunities, the faculty makes sure that a good amount of girls are placed. Jesus and Mary College offers strong placement opportunities through its active Placement Cell, connecting students with leading companies in finance, consulting, media, and more. It facilitates internships, training, and skill-building workshops, ensuring graduates are career-ready and competitive in diverse industries.
Value For Money
The fee of 1st and 2nd sem was around 22 to 24k, bit it increase to around 27k for 2nd year

Academics
I am a B.Com student and the Commerce faculty is very helpful not just w.r.t. to the academics but otherwise also.
Curriculum is updated and in my opinion, it especially helps people pursuing CA along with graduation because I have heard that syllabus is very similar.
College Infra
Quite neat and tidy campus.
Aesthetically beautiful.
A very well structured 2-tier library.
But, wifi is a bit slow within the campus.
One of the most well maintained & peaceful campuses of DU.
It's also dog-friendly.
Campus Life
Best feature (my opinion): peaceful environment inside & outside the campus.
Worst feature (my opinion): Wifi connectivity isn't good.
The college can handle crisis scenarios quite well. It once evacuated the entire premises within 15 minutes due to a bomb threat.
Placements
As per my fellow mates, the internships offered in IAPC (in lieu of SEC) are not worth it because the companies don't value interns' ethics or work life balance. Rest everything is good.
The average package offered in the final year placement is around: 8 LPA
Value For Money
The fee is around ₹22000/yr.
The overall faculty, infrastructure, societies, etc. are the things that any college student would like to have in their life.

Is JMC college better than Gargi college for BA history Honors?
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
JMC college and Gargi college both are absolutely wonderful in terms of education and infrastructural facilities, they both provide highly qualified lecturers which provide student best of their abilities and also a wonderful and a calm environment for students to study in .
The placement opportunities in the JMC college for BA history, is good & around 40-50% of students get placed in top companies in the placement cell. Highest package offered to a student recently was 3,00,000 lakhs per annum and on average students get placed with a package salary of 2,00,000 lakhs annum.
Top companies like Deloitte, KMPG, etc take part in the placement cell.
Gargi college has also good placements for its BA history batch students, maximum salary offered to a student recently was 5 lakhs per annum and on average students are placed with a package salary around 2-3 lakhs per annum.
Therefore, both these colleges are very similar in terms of education and placement opportunities. Hence, they both are great and you could go ahead with anyone among them.
