Very good Peace of work on infrastructure. Nice environment with lot of facilities. Three floor library stocked with books. The infrastructure of the college is well maintained having wifi connectivity on campus. Awesome cafeteria with good food. Lush green environment.
I did my graduation in philosophy hons and in my department all the teachers were very good, friendly, helpful and understanding. I have experienced so many great things here. Extremely skilled, knowledgeable teachers are there to teach, guide throughout your semesters.
It depends on course like b.com, economics, journalism receives good number of placements. The placement cell is very active and keeps informing students regarding everything. Placement process is very good although there is no placement for philosophy hons department. You can go in teaching field from this course
Affordable fees for middle class family and it's worth spending money on
The ground is really huge and clean. The campus life is very eventful.
Amazing and great life changing experience
Equipments for psychology, geography and sciences are ample however coming from a media course a media lab is desirable and we evidently lack one. We have one of the best and we'll stocked libraries in the university.
The professors are amazing and I can vouch for the fact that in these 3 years I've learned more than I could learn in a lifetime thanks to my professors. The environment is conducive to learning and I got very lucky with my professors. Debates and discussions on current political and social issues are frequently held in class.
Placements are reserved for Commerce people mostly but students from other courses can apply. Companies like KPMG come to recruit. However the college label is good enough to land an interview or an internship at a prestigious institution.
Considering media course charges 16K a year which is the highest grossing course in whole of du the lack of a lab doesn't exactly give money's worth but it's good enough for other courses which don't charge as much as journalism.
The location is in posh South Delhi, haiz khas, saket, shahpur jat are all nearby. The campus is clean, small but we'll maintained. The lawns and grounds are aesthetic.
Go for the course and not for the label!
The college campus does give one, the vibe of a DU college but it's quite small and stands as a stuffy building of pink. They do have a black/white board facility but lack projectors in most of the classrooms. The college's wifi is only for the namesake and on top of that has a lot of network issues which creates even more panic among the students. The college also doesn't provide a hostel facility for its outstation students which is another flaw. The 'CHAUPAL' is the heart of the college?❤️.
I am pursuing B.A.(Hons) Journalism from KNC and it is one of the best departments in the College. It is also among the top 10 government colleges for Journalism in India which makes me feel so proud. The faculty of this department are highly qualified/experienced and specialise in their respective fields. Class notes, reference books, links on different topic, etc are all provided by the professors. The faculty shares both a personal and a professional relationship with their students.
As far as I have learnt, the college doesn't really provide it's students with many campus placement opportunities. Students have to look for them off campus mostly. Though the college has several great Alumni-s who are doing extremely good in their lives.
The fee is Rs.18,700 for a year which is more than most of the courses that the college provides but reasonable enough for a government college. According to me, I think I am getting my money's worth when it comes to my academics but a big NO in terms of college.
Chaupal, playground, garden and the area infront of the audi are the most loved places in the college. Lectures and their timings are horrible at times and they leave us sitting ideal for long hours. This is quite exhausting for most of the students who have just 3-4 lectures a day but have to stay in the college till the evening. The location of the college is it's speciality but we definitely have a few traffic issues every now and then.
The college has a beautiful diversity and I think that is the best part about it. I have met some amazing and extremely talented girls who inspire me so much. The engagement of the societies is so mesmerizing. Glitz, the fashion society of KNC is among the top fashion societies in DU and also one of the best over-all society of DU. The college even has a queer community. And last but not the least it's high time that the management looks after the college's canteen and it's menu.
I wish that the classrooms and washrooms would be a little better ,network connnectivity problems are there. Though the college has modern computer lab and auditorium and good enough library. It has a good parking space
I'm studying journalism. Media is considered one of the most important pillars of an economy. This field offers a wide range of careete opportunities be it in public relations, reporting, copyediting or anchoring
I don't know much about the placements, but I do know there often are sessions for placement and career workshops plus a lot of internship opportunities and we also have job placement cell for this purpose
- Being an international student, the cost of the course is much higher for me than others. I'm getting the worth of my money since I'm studying in DU College
- Since Kamala Nehru is located in the south of Delhi, it is quite near to India Gate and its nearby places by metro. The teachers are awesome and supportive. They never let me feel like I'm a stranger in a foreign land.
Yes. My college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. There is wifi that connects in most parts the college. We have a great library, a good enough ground where athletes practice.
I am pursuing Journalism Hons and the faculty is spectacular. My professors are skilled and experienced. They have so much to share and so much knowledge to impart. It makes going to college so much better.
There are no placements for my course. So if that could be provided , it would make navigating the world so much easier. Today's world is as it is quite competitive so asking that your college aids you in some manner is really not that complex a demand
Yes, I am getting my money's worth. The faculty of all the departments are very nice. Teachers are interactive and pay close attention to the demands of all the students. My course costs 18000 a year and it's nice
It's very nice and interactive. There are a lot of clubs that students can be a part of to make their college lives even more engaging and enriching. The teachoamd support staff are reall great and are there whenever students need them
KNC is one of the best colleges for Journalism Hons and for other courses as well. It has been a lovely experience. There is so much to see and explore. The college's location is also very nice. It is close to a lot of great places
The college is well manages, washrooms are pretty clean and especially being an all girl's college special care of hygiene is followed. Sanitary napkin vending machines are also available in each washroom. We have a chaupal which is loved by all KNC students. Ground is pretty spacious. Overall, I love the infrastructure.
Teachers are well experienced and are very friendly with the students. I belong to the journalism department whose faculty is ranked in top 10 journalism schools across India. This teachers are very cooperative and supportive!
We have a placement cell, who send time to time internship opportunities. Indeed, a good placement cell which is very active as well. Overall, we have got so many opportunities to work with reputed firms that can enhance your CV.
The fees for BJMC is 18,700 here and I feel it's worth it. Journalism is one of the most expensive course, but because the faculty is amazing it makes the learning experience even more enriching.
You'll surely love everything about the campus once you get in! The canteen is amazing, the campus is spacious, the campus area is pretty clean where you can enjoy almost anything! Location is South Delhi, Hauz Khas and central is very near, so when you're free you can hang out almost anywhere!
Though being just in my first year, I absolutely loved my college! It has given me so many opportunities to explore new things.
The college infrastructure is not that good . The auditorium is too small . There is no hostel . You will have to look for a pg . Even after being a girl's College , the condition of washrooms are bad. But the outside space is good and clean.
I am pursuing B.A.Economincs Honours . I am overall quite satisfied with the Economics faculty .They are very friendly and helpful .Yes the curriculum is always updated and they always have the latest syllabus .
From what I have heard , it's not good . There are only few companies where you can actually think about joining . The highest salary package is offered for students from Bcom progrrame .I am still in first year , so don't know much about the package.
My course costs Rs. 8100 per year . It's completely worth it . Although the infrastructure is not good, but the teachers are really good.Lots of extracurricular activities . Lots of societies to choose as per your interest.
The campus life is good . There is always something going on in the chaupal . The location is very good . It's located at a posh area . It's very peaceful .You can also enjoy Gargi competition as it's very near .
Tables and chairs are not in proper condition. There are lack of rooms too.The paint is wearing of.There are broken benches in every other room.In all the infrastructure is not up to the mark. However, the food is hygenic and average.
Kamala Nehru has renowned teachers in every department. They are very experienced and kind.Talking about journalism department it has the fest faculty in Delhi University. They are supportive nad enthusiastic to teach.
Commerce department has a very good placement but journalism department has a low rate of campus placement.About the other departments I have no clear idea. However, placement cell is doing a good job to improve the situation.
Journalism course doesn't give value for money as there are no labs, recording room etc.
Crowd is not good... Wifi doesn't work well.. principal is biased with societies. There are no rooms for some society practises. Food is hygienic and clean. Canteen is nice but the lights and all.. it's dim, which makes it a room full of negativity. Playground and resting area are designed beautifully. Faculty is up to the mark.
Journalism. Good faculty. This study does not make me job ready as of now.. but sooner or later, it will. Yes, curriculum ia up dated and developmenta have been made in recent times as per the cbcs guidelines.
Placements are good. Internship fair is almost every year and more than 40 companies (most of them newly started) join and take interviews etc. 50% students were placed. And i dont have much idea abt salary offered. The internship i was at, paid for my courses relates to graphic designing etc, instead of giving away stipend.
My course was worth 18000/- but i cannot see that 18000 being put to use in terms of practicality of this course. We are not taken on the field to practise journalism. All we study is theory. Theory is taught real good but no practical knowledge is just as harmful in journalism.
Playground is good and great. But there are no activities to do around unless you are part of the sports team or so..
The college has a huge ground, chaupal , a decent library , modern auditorium , seminar rooms and well ventilated classroom. The canteen offers variety of options though the food is a bit oily . it has a well maintained outside sitting area
1) I'm pursuing BA (Hons.) Geography from Kamala Nehru College ,Notice of choosing this subject is • I want to appear for upsc once. • Want to study Urban planning in Masters and want to be an Urban Planner in future.• Looking ahead to join Navy as Cartographer also.
The college only provides placements for science and commerce students though they come up with different internship offers for different courses . carrier workshops are regularly conducted . paid internships offers come often
Reasonable fees
Quality of academics here in KNC , particularly faculty of Geography department is outstanding . 2) Absolutely the curriculum provided is great and very much perfect for my future and updated.Teachers are friendly
full of opportunities
