Academics zyada theoretical focused hain, jisme concepts par strong emphasis diya jata hai. Practical exposure thoda kam hai, lekin basic understanding aur subject knowledge achhi tarah develop hoti hai.
College Infra
College infrastructure thoda old building wala hai, lekin kaafi well-maintained hai. Classrooms, labs aur library properly maintained hain. Green campus environment aur basic facilities students ke liye comfortable hain. Overall, old hone ke bawajood infrastructure clean, functional aur learning ke liye suitable hai.
Campus Life
Campus life at KNIT Sultanpur is peaceful and refreshing. The campus is full of greenery, with open spaces and a calm environment that makes student life enjoyable and stress-free.
Placements
KNIT Sultanpur has shown steady improvement in placements over recent years. In 2025, the highest package offered was ₹17.5 LPA by American Express.
For the 2026 batch, placements are still ongoing. As of now, the highest package has reached ₹14 LPA. Several reputed companies such as Ciena, Glance, and Jaro Education have visited the campus. Multiple students have received offers in the ₹10–12 LPA range.
Branch-wise, CSE and IT have performed well with around 70% placement so far. In comparison, Mechanical and Civil Engineering branches currently have 20–30% placement. Since the placement process is still in progress, further improvement is expected.
Value For Money
KNIT Sultanpur offers excellent value for money. Being a government college, the fees are very low, making quality technical education affordable and accessible for students from all backgrounds.

Professor of Kamla Nehru institute of technology are very helpful .The teachers are well qualified ,especially the maths teacher Dr. Akhilesh Singh sir teaches very good maths .All the teachers are helpful.
College Infra
Kamla Nehru Institute of technology has a nice infrastructure and a pretty big campus area of 100 acres. It's hostel and mess facilities are also there with fully wifi facility. It's also has a big play ground.

Placements
The placement of upper branches like c.s, I.T , E.C.E (avg package 6-7 l.pa)is good but in core branches like E.E ,M.E and civil 25-30 students out of 80 got placed rest prepares for gate exam or preparing for off campus pr other goverment exams.

The teachers are very competent and very helpful, and we are pleased with their support. They have a lot of knowledge and help us acquire different knowledge from all fields. They help us solve real challenges that arise in our daily lives during this program. So, the faculty members have no problem.
College Infra
This is a fully Wi-Fi enabled residential campus. Students can also enjoy the natural beauty here, and we can also see peacocks roaming on the campus. The college provides medical facilities and sports facilities.

Placements
It is a reputed university to pursue the course in this state. Most of our batch mates got placements. The average salary offered was Rs.35,000 per month. I would recommend students to join this college. Highest salary offered in this course is based on the experience like it's 60,000 per month.

Can anyone tell me what is the procedure for lateral entry in knit sultanpur and how hard it is. It is merit based ?.

Lateral entry lets you join the 2nd year of the B. Tech course if you’ve already done a 3 year diploma in engineering (or B. Sc with Maths). You don’t have to do the full 4 year B. Tech again. It becomes a 3 year course for you.

i got jee mains crl of 300739 and after obc ncl category i got 105829 can i have a chance of getting cse or ece in up government colleges like {biet jhashi, knit sultanpur, mmmut and aith kanpur} as i am from up amd parental income is under 1 lakh?

With a CRL rank of 300739 and OBC NCL rank of 105829, getting CSE or ECE in top UP governmental college like BIET Jhansi, KNIT Sultanpur, MMMUT and AITH Kanpur will be extremely difficult. These colleges usually close OBC NCL ranks for CSE and ECE under 20,000-40,000 ranks
