Mangalore Marine College and Technology (MMCT). It is an AICTE-recognized institution in Mangalore, Karnataka. MMCT has a full-fledged admission system for engineering programs to give an equitable and fair chance to deserving candidates. MMCT offers three full-time engineering programs, BE in Marine Engineering, BE in Mechanical Engineering, and BE in Computer Sciences Engineering. Degree-wise Admission Process
B.E. Marine Engineering: MMCT offers 120 seats for the program. Admission for this course is based on candidates' performance in KCET or COMEDK UGET. The college also conducts its own admission process for management quota and vacant seats which include Aptitude, IQ, Reasoning, and Psychometric tests followed by an interview.
B.E. Mechanical Engineering: The college has an intake of 45 seats for the program. Admission procedures are similar to that for Marine Engineering except that the examination needs to be either KCET or COMEDK UGET for the government quota seats. Vacant seats and management quota seats are filled through MMCT's own selection process.
B.E. Computer Science and Engineering: MMCT offers 60 seats for the BE Computer Science and Engineering program. The same admission process is implemented for other engineering courses, with scores of KCET or COMEDK UGET being taken into consideration for government quota seats, while a separate selection procedure is put into place for management quota and vacant seats.
