    The infrastructure at MIET is excellent with well-maintained computer labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and smart classrooms for group studies. The campus library is good with reference books on programming, database management, and AI. Hostel facilities are good with two hostel buildings for a comfortable stay. The mess offers hygienic food, and extracurricular activities and games keep the students busy.

    Academics

    The faculty is highly qualified with specialization in AI, ML, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Yet, according to some students, the faculty guidance in day-to-day problems and mentoring can be enhanced. MCA curriculum is industry-focused but does contain some general subjects in the first year that could be more specialized in niche streams.

    Placements

    The placement rate of MCA students was approximately 70%. Some mid-sized IT companies and start-ups, and even some blue-chip companies such as TCS, Wipro, HCL, and Tech Mahindra, hire MCA students as Software Developer, Data Analyst, System Administrator, and IT Consultant. Salary package of 3-4 LPA based on technical skill set and problem-solving ability of the student. Also, 62% of the last batch students were placed in software development companies, cloud computing companies, and cybersecurity companies.

    The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with smart boards for interactive learning. Each bench has charging sockets for students' convenience. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and hostels. The library remains open until 7:00 PM for day scholars and 9:00 PM for hostelers. Hostel facilities are decent, and the food quality is satisfactory. However, medical facilities are only available until 7:00 PM, which can be inconvenient in emergencies.

    Academics

    All Mid-Semester Exams and End-Semester Exams are conducted by the college itself. The updated curriculum is better than before, making it more relevant to industry standards. Semester exams are not overly difficult, and students can achieve an 8.5+ CGPA by preparing thoroughly 40 days before the exams

    Placements

    Around 80% of MCA students got placed. However, the college tends to highlight only the best placement records while many students receive packages below 3 LPA. Some students secure 7 LPA, while a smaller percentage gets 10 LPA or more. Very few students manage to get 20 + LPA, mostly through off-campus placements, for which the college provides little to no support.

Sports facility, medical aid, and appropriate conditions for study are also offered in the campus.

    The faculty members are experienced, qualified, and supportive. Their teaching style is simple and efficient, leading to the proper comprehension of concepts. The MCA course is industry-focused, emphasizing software development, database management, and new technologies. Semester exams are average to challenging, with a pass percentage of 33%, so that the students are adequately prepared for corporate life.

    Near 90% of the MCA students got placed after completing the course. The highest offered package was 8 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average package was 5 LPA. Further, near 98% of students were given internship offers, in which they were provided opportunities from TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, and various other companies.

    The lone benefit of MIET Meerut is its industry-focused academic faculty and curriculum. The students are prepared for competitive examinations such as CAT, UGC-NET, and banking exams, providing a competitive academic environment. The case study method is given more emphasis in the institution, and corporate exposure is provided to the students in the form of guest lectures and seminars. The faculty is professional and caring and provides career counseling, research, and business strategy to the students.

    The placement rate for MBA is approximately 70%. The maximum package is 18 LPA, the average package is approximately 5-6 LPA, and the minimum is 3 LPA. Based on what I have observed so far, the college has a good placement track record and top companies visit the campus annually. I am hoping for excellent placement opportunities by the time I finish my degree.
