The campus is green, highly aesthetic and clean. The library is the way it should be quiet and full of interesting books along with a friendly staff to help out the visually impaired students. The wifi doesn't work in all the corners of the college. Need to put in some efforts to identify all the wifi spots.
The Professors are true to the discipline. Very straight and strict towary internals and assignments. Will be a good idea if teachers in Delhi University try to Innovate their old teaching methods . Modules will be really helpful .
Not a member of placement cell. So no idea. But as far as I have heard from other mates in college ,placement is not that good as compared with other colleges of Delhi University. But yeah the college is supportive.
The course is worth the money paid. Alreay the fees is minimal and in share to that knowledge imparted is not compromised.
Best- college lawns, worst- can't think of any .
Miranda has a beautiful infrastructure, being a mirandian, I am proud to say that miramda provide one of the best facilities and infrastructure. Classrooms have working AC, along with smart boards. College campus has free wifi facility too. Basketball court, tennis court, open gym, closed gym, ground all are available. Miranda canteen is something which stoles everyones heart. Apart from regular canteen(with reasonable prices and good quality), miranda has nescafe, pam cafe as well in the campus
The classroom teaching is very serious. Classes take place regularly. Teachers are really efficient and cooperative. Apart from regular classes, there are even personal contact classes. Teaching in miranda does not include text learning but involves discussions, debates.
There is a placememt cell which leaves no stone unturned in an order to provide inimitable opportunities to the students. Apart from that, regular internships are provided too by the placement cell. 90% of mirandians to their internships through placement cell.
The infrastructure of this college is very good. The campus is endowed with a good library, spacious uditorium and big lawns. There are 4 canteens and 1 photocopy shop within the college. The college has its own hostel inside the campus. There is a presence of adequate facilities and amenities required for a fulfilling learning experience
The college has the best possible faculty in DU. The teachers are best at what they do and teach and make sure that students actually gain something after spending 60 minutes in a lecture. Dedicated is the word for them.
The college has a society of its own-The placement cell, which focuses on placements and various career opportunities. Various seminars, talks and events are organised with various companies and organisations to fulfill the purpose of placements.
Considering its Number 1 all India ranking (according to NIRF), beautiful campus, immense exposure and academic life, this college is extremely worthy of every penny spent.
The campus life is great! Being an all girls college, one can express themselves and their ideas freely. There is a sense of unity, love and empowerment in its campus.
Miranda's infrastructure is one of the best it got a huge library. If u r fan of coffee we have got Nescafe ,canteen and a pam.u can get a overview of our canteen area in one of the song of "Half girlfriend".
I m persuing B.sc physical science with computer science. It is quite good course for someone who likes cs but don't wants or unfortunately cannot get its honours course. We have regular labs.we can get our updated syllabus on our website and our teachers teaches only updated syllabus
There was a placement cell fest Chrysalis. So many companies were there and it was open for all du students. Our college has placement cell which is very widely spread .So many students got internships .
I m staying in pg so and this is my first year and its ruined due to covid-19
Miranda's best feature is its beauty and its beauties .
Miranda House is one of those colleges of Delhi University which has the best infrastructure and facilities. The labs, libraries, sports area, hostels, washrooms, etc. are well maintained and are spacious. The best thing about it's campus is that you can't even find a wrapper lying around. The greenery surrounding the red buildings give it an aesthetic appearance. Also there is a very good canteen which provides a variety of quality food at cheap prices.
There is no doubt regarding the academics of Miranda as it's NIRF ranking is 1 for the past three years. I'm pursuing B.Sc (H) Mathematics from there and I've been tutored by one of the best faculties of DU who are always ready to clarity students' doubts and assist them in their studies. Whatever course you pursue from here, it's guaranteed that you would graduate as a scholar in that subject. It followes the curriculum provided by DU which is obviously one of the best for graduation.
Since, I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements and in this session, due to the unavoidable scenarios we couldn't witness the placement season. I've heard from my seniors that the college provides good placement opportunities to students. But most of the students of Miranda aren't interested in placements and go for higher studies instead. The average package is nearly 3-4 lacs per annum.
Being a government college, Miranda charges the minimum fees for a quality education. You would be surprised to know that the per annum fees for all the courses are nearly 16-20k per annum. Even the hostel charges are too low i. e. nearly 32k per annum but there are only a few seats there. No one would ever regret taking admission in Miranda but its cutoff is too high!!
Miranda provides one of the best campus vibes where you can find the most confident and witty women (since it's a girls' college). There are numerous socities and clubs. The students, teachers and staff are supportive and the college discourages any kind of inequality. Located in the North Campus of DU, you can't find a better location for a college than that. Just a street ahead of the college you can find a market, lane full of restaurants, and everything nearby.
Miranda has shaped me from a girl to a woman full of wit and confidence. Being surrounded by confident and bold women, you can't get a better environment to develop yourself. The students here excel both in studies and co-curriculars. Also, women of Miranda are aware of every social issue and are vocal in their thoughts. Admired by everyone for their intelligence mixed with a brilliant fashion sense, the students of Miranda can't go unnoticed anywhere.
Miranda house had alll the necessary facilities with almost classrooms equipped with projector facility. It is alsp disabled friendly with QR codes pasted outside every room tp enable blind students find it easily.
The faculty of social sciences as well as science stream are one of the best. As I did history hons, what I can say truly is that the history faculty was the best with every professor having a passion for teaching.
I don't remember much about placements because most students go for higher studies after graduation. Yet we had companies in which we could apply but the placement was mostly off campus. The placement society helped us with that.
Being a govt owned college, it definitely had value for money. The hostel fees was also economical. But after the fee hike implemented in 2018, it was a bit disappointing as many underprivileged students also study there who have problem paying even that much fee.
The campus was always buzzing with new activities. Different societies were thoroughly active and we also had different seminars going on the entire semester. Different brands used to come to promote their products.
Overall, Miranda ia a college that teaches one everything from academic excellence to becoming a fashionista. Every day it was a new experience whereby one could explore hundreds of opportunities. So it was amazing.
The college infrastructure is very good.It has properly structured classrooms seminar halls, auditoriums and other places. The library of Miranda is very good. The play ground is also big and has every sports are available. The campus is okay in size.
Miranda has one of the best faculty in Delhi University as they have a multiple knowledge and aware of paper pattern and have alot of experience. They are able to make us learn quite easily and very gently and friendly
The placement cell of Miranda is very active and provides great opportunities for every year students for internship and jobs. Very good amount of package is provided to all the capable candidates not only in kind but also in cash.
Delhi University provides education at very subsided rate which is one of the cheapest. It is hundred percent value of money if you pay up to twenty thousand for such a good education. The fees can vary from course to cource.
The campus of Miranda is not be very big but have great explosure to different opportunities. The college is built in sufficient area and has proper buildings and everything structured. There are numerous societies and games available in college. The college ground is also big.
Overall the college is one of its kind and has alot of development opportunities. One gets to learn alot from teachers, friends and other staff members. One would love the vibe Miranda gives.
Extremely beautiful architectural building, the hostel is also good, is among one of the most well maintained colleges of Delhi University and also the front lawns are a place to sit and chill with friends
I'm studying Political Science, the faculty is so good and always available for doubt sessions, the study pattern makes the student learn the relationship between past and present events which is nice
Better placements for science wing, though a lot of internship opportunities with Delhi Govt, NGOs and other private companies. Many campus ambassador programmes are also launched for Miranda House।।।।
Totally worth admitting in
Different societies and regular engaging events
No
Yeah the college is perfect .they provide coaches for every sports.they have a basketball court which is very beautiful.nd shooting of half girlfriend ,fukrey, kabir singh nd many more was done in my college.
Yeah afterall it is NIRF ranking no 1 college .the faculty is very strict with the students even the HOD of sports department is also strict with the studies they always taught their students to maintain academy with the sports for sports quota students.
Yeah it has.it is totally depend upon the students and their capabilities .how they work in their entire graduation how they perform in their academic sessions. Depending upon their personalities nd their skills
Yeah..i m getting more then that
Yeah it’s awesome.
Miranda house is the no.1 college according to nirf ranking and everything is very good very fine .miranda house can transform a normal personality to excellent personality.it gives u a great exposure to see ur self in a good manner
Yes , the college infrastructure is really good. Classrooms and labs are well equipped. In addition to this, the environment is hygienic as well . Canteen food is yes , no doubt, good. About WiFi , they are not that enhanced . There is a network issue , but it's okay . All the facilities in college are properly used, be it library, sports centre or anything.
I am a maths Hons student because I like maths . I find maths very interesting and logical subject. In our college, maths department is outstanding, I must say. Explanation is good , and teachers make it sure that we get what we are taught . Even if someone have any doubts or questions , they will make it clear , no matter how many times we ask . Apart from that, curriculum is fine I guess.
I don't know much placements in our college. But there is a placement cell in the college which functions well. Many students do the internship at college level. An internship fair is also organised for the students where anyone can apply with requisite eligibility.
The cost is reasonable. It's not that much high , I mean whatever we are paying, it's worth it. We are getting moneys' worth. Since the quality of education and infrastructure , it's good.
Miranda House is nearest to the metro as compared to other colleges of North campus. Hence it is safe. About college campus, there are many societies in college which are surely helpful in exploration of talents. For example, dramatic society, debate society, western dance, folk dance , music , and so on . There are societies for every one , such as for environmental enthusiasts there is vatavaran society, women development cell for those who believe in equal opportunity for both genders .
My experience till now is quite good and yes I have explored a lot of things after coming here . In college we are responsible for everything , we know the importance of time management since sometimes we have to choose between class and society , both are necessary ,so somehow we learn many new things in the process. We got to meet new people with extra ordinary talents and we learn a lot interacting with many people.
