I had a nice experience in college and attained nice values

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure was on point and classes were equipped with modern gadgets like smart boards and laboratries were also modern and wifi was availble all the time with high speed for research abd study for the students

    Academics

Mithibai College's B.Com course is widely respected for its comprehensive approach to commerce education, combining academic rigor with practical insights. The blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application provides student with solid foundation.

    Placements

Placement was decent since years students are getting placed in companies and grabbing an average package of 3lpa and highest was around 6lpa and it went for BCom only the placement process was easy and pleasant

    Value for Money

Mithibai is a good value of money, fees is low and fees for my course was around 30k per year but the value of education the faculties provided was of next level. This value helped me to gain real life experience and implement these on real world problems

    Campus Life

Mithibai's campus life fosters a collaborative and dynamic learning environment through events, clubs and competitions there were several clubs and committees that used to organise several events and fests in the college and teachers ,support staff was very supportive during the events

    College Infrastructure

College was good as per the facilities and infrastructure is also average and classes were moderate, better laboratory facilities and canteen were also in the campus. All the things were good and well maintained.

    Academics

Academics were also helpful and teachers were too much supportive as some of them were friendly in nature to all of us. The curriculum was updated as per requirement and exams were also scheduled on time.

    Placements

Placement quality was also average only as there were not enough focused and opportunities to be provided to us. We need to find the things by self and average salary offered was 3-4 LPA to most of the students from my batch.

    College Infrastructure

    Academics

The academics were good enough as the college is autonomous and can change the syllabus according to latest trends the professors were good and was using ppt effectively for teaching and also used real life examples for explaining any concepts.

    Placements

The placements werent that good there were only small scale companies that came to the campus for hiring and there was not a single company which was came for mas hiring. There were 1-2 good companies which offered decent packages.

    Value for Money

Yes absolutely for graduation it is a good college but if you are looking for placements directly after your degree then sorry it is not a place for you. The infrastructer ,co-curricular eventsare the key higlights.

    Good

    College Infrastructure

Ac , Smart boards available . Clean Bathrooms . Almost all facilities available . Water cooler also available. The classrooms and bathrooms are clean .There is centralized AC in each classroom. Overall excellent.

    Academics

I am studying BMS at this college. The faculty is good . However , there arr few teachers who are not upto date. There are some teachers who are very young. However overall teaching staff is good of BMS .

    Placements

The highest package overall is 20lacs. Highest package of BMS is 12lacs. One should expect higher package after doing bachelors . Moreover , percentage of student placed is also not high. So , placement is average.

    Value for Money

Yes , worth because fees only 50000 . This college is autonomous but under mumbai university. Hence the fees is not much high of all course . Hence there is a good value for money we are spending on tution fees in this college

    Campus Life

Not much bigger campus , only a nine storey building. In Mumbai one cannot expect a college with very big campus . However , there are.places like canteen , and others where students can enjoy and chill.

    Others

The overall I would like rate this college good . Just one thing to keep in mind , never mess with college in terms of 75% attendance , otherwise you would be debarred. Apart of that everything is good

The classrooms are well equipped with audiovisual facilities for effective education. There are science and computer laboratories with modern equipments. It has a huge auditorium for various seminars, workshops and cultural events.

    Academics

Mithibai college (vile parle) is known for its strong academic programs and diverse courses in fields such as arts, science, and commerce. It has a reputation for providing quality education and a vibrant student community.

    Placements

It has a decent placement record, with a variety of companies visiting the campus to recruit students from different disciplines. The placement rates and opportunities vary by program. But often there is a bit pressure on students for campus selection.

    Value for Money

Honestly, my course is of around 40-45k per year. I feel it's worth the hype because the faculty is excellent and the campus and crowd is outstanding!

    Campus Life

This college is one of the best college in Mumbai which is due to the teaching faculty and staff. It is located in a peaceful and safe zone of Mumbai suburbs. And talking about emergency there are hospitals at 5 mins distance from the college.

    Good but don't come.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Basic necessities are provided. We have smart boards in almost every class but not all. Washrooms are well maintained at times. Library has a good selection of books and a very wide range we also have an E library to access those books but we haven't gotten our IDs to do so.

    Academics

I am studying Commerce right now but i don't think our course makes us job ready. Except for a few classes, classes aren't interactive and a few of the senior faculty is prudish. The new teachers teach well.

    Placements

We haven't been informed anything about placements as of now. There are clubs which we can sign up for which helps our resumes but nothing besides that. There are a lot of activities so unless you are proactive you won't get any placements.

    3. Section III (General Test): Assesses general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning.

Ensure you select Psychology in Section II to align with the program's requirements.

Additionally, verify any specific subject prerequisites or combinations by consulting Mithibai College's official admissions page or contacting their admissions office directly.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

For mithibai college, for 10th graders is best of 5 considered?? and if yes, which subjects are compulsory? and what is the cut off for gujrati quota last year?

    hi ,

Admission to the First Year Junior College (FYJC) at Mithibai College involves specific criteria regarding the calculation of marks and category-based cutoffs.

    Best of Five Rule:

For applicants from all educational boards, Mithibai College requires the total marks obtained in all subjects to be considered during the admission process, rather than applying the "Best of Five" rule. This means that the aggregate of all subjects will be taken into account for merit determination.

    Compulsory Subjects:

While the college mandates the inclusion of total marks from all subjects, specific compulsory subjects are not explicitly outlined in the available information. However, it's standard practice for students to include core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English, and a Second Language in their total marks calculation.

    Gujarati Minority Quota Cutoff:

Mithibai College reserves a certain number of seats for students under the Gujarati Minority Quota . The cutoff percentages for this category can vary annually based on factors like the number of applicants and overall performance. For the academic year 2024-2025 , the cutoff percentages for the Gujarati Minority category were as follows:

    • FYJC Arts: 79.60%
    • FYJC Commerce: 89.40%

These cutoffs indicate the minimum percentage required in the 10th standard examinations for eligibility under the Gujarati Minority Quota.

    Conclusion:

When applying to Mithibai College for FYJC, ensure that you consider the total marks obtained across all subjects, as the "Best of Five" rule is not applicable. Additionally, be mindful of the cutoff percentages for the Gujarati Minority Quota to assess your eligibility.

    hope this helps
