The global demand for skilled professionals in Computer Science and Design is rapidly increasing due to the pervasive role of computing in modern society.
A degree in Computer Science and Design is designed to equip students with strong problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and expertise in both computing technologies and design principles.
This interdisciplinary programme addresses the growing need for IT professionals who can create intuitive, user-centred digital solutions.
By combining technical proficiency with creative design thinking, the programme focuses on areas such as user experience (UX), interaction design, web and mobile development, and multimedia systems.
As digital information continues to grow and technology evolves, graduates of this programme will play a vital role in shaping user-friendly, innovative digital experiences for the future.

Eligibility Criteria

Requirements for joining B.E Program in Computer Science and Design Engineering
All Indian students applying for the B.E Computer Science andDesign Engineering program must fulfil the following requirements:
a) CET Quota Students:
- Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects.
- Must have secured an aggregate of at least 45% in Math andPhysics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Must have cleared KCET.
b) Management Quota Direct Admission students:
- Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Must have cleared any of the following entrance examinations: KCET, COMEDK, UGET, AMPCK, JEE.
- Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.
c) Students in the SC/ST and CAT1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B categories:
- Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 40% in the qualifying examination.
- Must have cleared KCET
d) International/NRI students:
- Must have passed an exam equivalent to Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.
- International / NRI students are requested to directly contact the Admission Cell at the college campus and obtain the Application Form.
Note:
A student who has passed the qualifying exam (PUC, 12th standard) from a recognized Board other than those mentioned by VTU, must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (New Delhi). This certificate is mandatory for admission in the college.

Admission Procedure:For Indian Students:

1. Undergraduate Engineering Programmes

Admission to Undergraduate Engineering programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

Eligibility Criteria: CET Admission Process

Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages, and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science. In case of SC/ST and OBC (Cat-1,2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B category) students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
Student should have cleared the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka – KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

Eligibility Criteria: Management Admission Process

Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the Languages, and obtained a minimum of 60% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
Student should have cleared any one of the Entrance Tests conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka or Govt. of India (KCET, COMEDK, AMPCK, JEE)

College Infrastructure

The college has decent infrastructure, including well-equipped classrooms. Computer labs are well-equipped and good for practical learning. Teachers guide us properly during lab sessions, which is helpful. Hostel and canteen facilities are available, but the quality of food in the canteen is not very good and is a bit costly. There are also some outside shops near the campus where students can get food. Overall, the infrastructure is fine, but the mess and canteen need improvement.

It has an awesome college life.

College Infrastructure

Facilities and infrastructure available for my course are just awesome. Labs are great. Classrooms are awesome and fully provided by AC. The library is good, and it contains a huge amount of books for my course. College Wi-Fi does not work often. The quality of facilities of hostels is good for 2nd and 3rd year students. Hostels provided to first-year students are not up to the mark. The quality of the mess and canteen is very good for 2nd and 3rd year students. Sports and games facilities available are badminton, table tennis, carrom board, etc.
