Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic, Nitte Admission Process

Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic (NRAMP), Nitte, is a reputed institution providing various engineering diploma courses. The admission process in NRAMP is formulated for selecting deserving students based on their Karnataka State SSLC (10th) examination performance in the entry test. The institution has a transparent admission system and the merit-based admission system which corresponds to the education of the Karnataka state.

In most cases, admission will begin after the outcome of the Karnataka State SSLC announcement. The closing date for submission of application will be published in the local Kannada daily newspapers. For most courses, including the popular Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology (Fashion Technology) program, the tentative application deadline is around June 15th.

The eligibility criteria for admission to diploma programs at NRAMP primarily consist of passing the Karnataka State SSLC examination. Application Process

The application process for all diploma programs at NRAMP follows these steps:

  1. Wait for Karnataka State SSLC results declaration.

  2. Read the announcement of application submission dates, which appears in local Kannada daily newspapers.

  3. Get and fill in the application form for a desired diploma program.

  4. Submit the application form before the last date.

  5. For Fashion and Apparel Design program, confirm that the submission will be done before June 15 (tentatively).

  6. Wait for interview shortlist announcement.

  7. If shortlisted, visit on date assigned.

  8. Carry all necessary documents and the prescribed fees amount to the interview.

  9. If selected, pay the required fees immediately after the interview. The amounts shall be stated in the interview letter.

Degree-wise Admission Process

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Intake: 50 seats
Admission is by Karnataka State SSLC performance. Applications are available after announcement of results, and deadlines are published in Kannada daily newspapers.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Intake: 60 seats
The admission procedure for this course is the same as for Mechanical Engineering. Candidates selected on the basis of SSLC results are also called for an interview.

Diploma in Civil Engineering
Intake: 45 seats
Admission for the diploma is similar to those in other diploma programs, as they are accepted after the announcement of results. Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, and in case of selection, they will have to pay the fees immediately.

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Intake: 50 seats
Admission procedure aligns with other diploma courses, with selections based on results from the SSLC examinations.

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering
Intake: 60 seats
All these programs follow a normal admission process on the performance basis of the SSLC examination and those chosen must undergo interviews before paying predetermined fees after selection.

Diploma in Fashion and Apparel Design
Intake: 45 seats
This specialized course is called Fashion Technology, with an application deadline of approximately June 15 as tentative. One-on-one interviews will form part of the selection process for shortlisted candidates.
