Decent college but facilities and placements could improve

I pursued PGDM in Marketing because I was interested in understanding how businesses identify customer needs, promote products and build effective strategies to grow in competitive markets. Marketing plays an important role in connecting businesses with their target audience, and I wanted to develop knowledge in areas such as market research, consumer behavior and businesses strategy. The quality of teaching was average. Some faculty members were knowledgeable and supportive and they explained concepts clearly with practical examples. However, not all teachers provided the same level of guidance and only few were highly effective in making the subjects engaging and industry relevant. In terms of curriculum, while it covers fundamental marketing concepts, it does not fully include recent developments and practical exposure required in todays fast changing industry. More focus on real world case studies, practical tools and industry oriented skills would help students become more job ready.

      College Infra

The college has basic infrastructure and facilities required for academic activities, but it is not very well equipped compared to modern standards. Classrooms are good and comfortable for regular lectures, but advanced facilities such as smart boards and highly modern equipment are not available. The laboratories and library provide basic resources needed for studies, but there is scope for improvement in terms of updated tools and better maintenance. The Campus spaces are generally clean and manageable, but cleanliness is not always consistent in all areas. The staff washrooms are maintained properly, but other washrooms could be cleaner and require better hygiene levels could be improved. Washbasin areas are also not always cleaned properly. Overall, the college provides basic facilities that are usable, but improvements in infrastructure , hygiene and food quality would create a better and more comfortable environment for students.

      Campus Life

The college campus is decent and provides a positive environment for students. There are various activities and events conducted on campus, which students generally enjoy and participate in. The overall crowd is good and students are friendly. Some teachers are supportive and helpful and while others are average. The campus is safe but the location is quite far and there are limited stores and facilities nearby which sometimes make access to daily needs slightly inconcenient. However, the college is capable of handling basic emergency situations when required. Overall, the campus experince is manageable with good student engagement but scope for improvement in location convenience and facilities.

      Placements

The quality of placements at the college was average and could have been better. Most of the job opportunities provided were mainly related to sales roles, with limited options in other domains such as analytics, marketing strategy or specialized fields. The companies visiting for placements were mostly average, and the salary packages offered were not very competitive compared to industry standards. The average salary offered was moderate and there were no significantly high packages that stood out. The placement process was not very smooth as communication and coordination could have been handled in a more supportive and professional manner. The placement coordinator's approach was not always helpful, and at times the behavior felt discouraging for students who were seeking guidance, Many students were managing work along with their PGDM, so it was sometimes difficult for them to respond immediately to placement updates. Greater flexibility And better support from the placement team would have made the process easier for students.

      Value For Money

The course fee was relatively high compared to the facilities and overall experience provided by the college. In my opinion, the value received for the amount paid was not fully satisfactory. While the college offers basic academic support, the infrastructure, practical exposure and overall facilities could have been better considering the fees charged. I feel there are other colleges that offer better quality education, facilities and learning environment at a similar or even lower cost. Improvement in infrastructure, updated resources and more industry focused learning opportunities would make the investment more worthwhile for students. Overall, the experience was average, but the return on investment could have been better.

The quality of teaching is quite good as the teacher explains the concept practically rather than focusing on only theory which helps students to understand it better. This study helps the student to prepare for job to crack any interview.

      College Infra

The college facilities are available in all the fields. The laboratory contains all the necessary equipments, classrooms are well maintained, libraries will all kind of books, sports equipments, smart Wifi etc.

      Campus Life

The campus is ausumn as the events held are very auspicious and all other activities are done with joy. The student can do any activity in the entire campus. The college location is at the very best location so no disturbance occurs.

      Placements

The placements are quite good as the top companies come every year for recruitment of students and the students are selected on the basis of their skills and knowledge and also differentiate between the packages got to every student.

      Value For Money

The college is definitely worth the money which was being spent during the admission as i personally think i have got all the facilities during this 3 year according to the amount which I have spent and the placement this college offers.

Yes. It’s really a value for money college. It is a one time investment. The fees for general category students is around 4 Lakhs for 2 years. And for the category students, it’s less than 1 lakh. So it’s really worth it to join PIMSR.
