Admission Process 2021
Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D courses in engineering. To get an admission to B.Tech, candidates must apply and qualify MHT-CET or JEE. For postgraduate admission GATE is compulsory. The detailed admission process of these courses are mentioned in detail below:
The admission process for B.Tech:
Candidates willing to get admission to B.Tech first year have to appear for MHT-CET/JEE Main.
The admission for first-year engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
During the counselling session, candidates have to mention their preference for Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur, as their top preference.
The seat will be allotted to the students as per the counselling rounds.
The candidates who get allotment at PEC must report to the college and confirm their admission by fulfilling necessary procedures.
The admission process for M.Tech:
Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State and Other than Maharashtra State (OMS) have to appear for GATE.
The admission for postgraduate engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

The admission process for Ph. D. Admission:
Candidates need to apply online at the official website of the RTM University.
Candidates need to appear for the PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the Research Department of the University.
Candidates with UGC-CSIR-NET/JRF, UGC-NET/JRF, SLET, GATE are exempted from the entrance test.
The candidates who have qualified in the entrance test (PET) will be called for interview/viva-voce, conducted by the Research Advisory Committee.
The general merit list for the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme shall be prepared by the RAC on the basis of performance of the candidate in the entrance test, the interview/viva-voce.
Interview judges the suitability of the applicant on the basis of applicant’s research aptitude, knowledge of the subject, a clear understanding of the proposed research problem, the suitability of proposed research methodology, research facilities available and availability of the research supervisor in the proposed research area etc.
Shortlisted candidates need to report to the respective centres of the University and complete the admission process which includes document verification and fee payment.

1. In general, 80% of the Intake capacity seats are to be filled in by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai through its Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
2. And 20% seats are to be filled in, by the Institute against Institute level quota and resultant vacancies if any as per the procedure laid down by the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai in its Brochure.
