The Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT) and is currently one among the most prestigious constituent colleges known for offering extensive and diverse undergraduate to doctoral programs in engineering and technology. Application Process

The application process is different for every program at SUIIT:

For B.Tech:

1. Register for and appear in OJEE examination.
2. Qualify OJEE with a rank within the SUIIT cutoff.
3. Take part in the OJEE counseling.
4. Select SUIIT and preferred B.Tech course during counseling.
5. Report to SUIIT, if allotted a seat, for document verification and admission formalities.

For M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc:

1. 50% seats allocated for MCA through OJEE. For these seats also, observe OJEE counseling process. 

2. For remaining seats of MCA and for all seats of M.Tech and M.Sc:

• Application will be done through the SUIIT website notification.
• Appear for institute entrance test.
• Career assessment, 30 per cent weightage, written test, 70 per cent weightage. 
• In the selection list, complete the admission at SUIIT.

For Ph.D programs: Exact numbers are not given, but the overall procedure will likely include:

1. Apply through the SUIIT website when admissions for the Ph.D. programs are announced.
2. Entrance tests and/or interviews as guided by the institute will be required.
3. If selected, proceed to complete the admission formalities at SUIIT.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech Programs: SUIIT has B. Tech Programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and specialized courses in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Admission to all B.Tech programs is purely through OJEE. The institute has an overall seating capacity totaling to 90 seats in B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, and 30 seats each for other B. Tech programs.

M.Tech Programs: The institute currently runs M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering; Communication System Engineering; Embedded Systems and Design. The selection of candidates for M.Tech programs comprises Career Assessment (30 percent) and Writing Test (70 percent) by the institute. Each of the M.Tech programs accommodates between 16 and 32 seats.

MCA Program: However, admissions to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program are unique at SUIIT. Of the total intake, 50 percent of the seats are filled based on OJEE scores while the remaining 50 percent come from the institute's own entrance test. The institute-level test splits 30% for career assessment and 70% for written exams. The MCA program has an intake of 48 students.

M.Sc Programs: SUIIT provides M.Sc in Computer Science and Electronics. Similar to M.Tech, admission for these two M.Sc programs is based on 30% career assessment and 70% on a written test conducted by the institute. Each M.Sc program accepts 32 students.

Ph.D Programs: The institute has doctoral programs in the Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and the Electrical and Electronics Engineering disciplines.
