School Of Advanced Engineering, UPES, Dehradun All Questions

I will suggest you to go for UPES, If u would have asked for cse or it departments, i would have surely suggested SRM. Bt for mechanical, civil or electrical engineering don't even think about srm. Faculty is not that good and bad placement.There is only one benefit in srm that is, even if u r an average student, u’ll surely graduate with 8-8.5 + cgpa. But i don't think cgpa matters more for a core branch. If u are giving ur four valueable years and are investing 12 lacs+ rupees and getting good cgpa, u will atleast expect a job with good package.

So my suggestion is to opt upes over srm.

Upes focuses more on core branches like Petroleum Engineering,Fire and Safety and thus is more Energy Sector domain college whereas Jaypee focuses more on CSE,IT branches and has much better placement in CSE.

This is solely my opinion,join the college which you are more interested in ....

The first year fees of B. Tech. Civil Engineering in UPES Dehradun is INR 337000/-.

For second year, it is INR 353500/-

For third year, it is INR 371000/-

and, for fourth year, it is: INR 389000/-

Both Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and UPES Dehradun are among the top Universities of India. Academically it is quite tough to compare these two. The course is backed up by renowned faculties, most of the are PhD holders. All the facilities are provided properly. But if we go through the placement record, it is more impressive in UPES. It doesn't mean that KIIT is any less. CSE and IT grab the most of the placements in KIIT. More than 100 companies recruit CS engineers from KIIT. But the percentage of students getting placed is more in UPES. More than 90% students from CS Branch are placed in top notch software companies like Amazon, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, BYJU'S, LinkedIn etc. The average placement is better in UPES than KIIT.

As you want to pursue btech so both the mentioned colleges are very good. In comparison graphic era is slightly better than upes. The NIRF ranking for upes is145 whereas for graphic era is 105. Also graphic era has AAAA+ accreditation while upes is AAAA. Facilities are good in both the colleges. Placements is also almost same in both the colleges. Ultimately the choice is yours.

UPES is considered to be the best college for the course in B.Tech and M.Tech for various courses.

some of the faculty concerned for the same left the institution, the journal, inspite of two attempts, could not be revived till date. and hence the faculty is is not good till date.

try for some other colleges for this course.

2. UPES, Dehradun
3. MIT, Chennai
4. Nirma University, Ahmedabad
