School of Rural Management, Ratlam Admission Process

Rural Management School is an AICTE-accredited centre of rural management education located in Ratlam. This school is situated in the quiet little town of Bhadwasa along the blessed Maleni River on the Mhow-Neemuch Highway of Madhya Pradesh. It offers a rather unique Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Planning and Management. The method that the School of Rural Management establishes is that it's going to take applications from really concerned earnest candidates who want to work for rural development and management.

The institute has returned eligible scores from continuing standard management entrance exams for admission to it. They include:

  1. CAT (Common Admission Test)
  2. GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
  3. XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)
  4. CMAT (Common Management Admission Test)
  5. ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions)

The institution lends itself to its admissions flexibility by taking the widest possible entrance examination scores so that aspirants from different educational backgrounds can apply. Usually, the admissions cycle starts around August-September in parallel with the academic year. 

Application Process 

The application procedure in the School of Rural Management entails Ratlam the following steps:

1 Entrance Exam: Candidates have to qualify in any of the above entrance tests-cum-exams (CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT, or ATMA) and obtain an adequate, valid score.

2.Application Form: The candidate has to go online, visit the official website of the School of Rural Management, Ratlam and fill out the online application form for the PGDM Rural Management program.

3.Document Submission: Along with the application form, candidates need to submit the following documents:

  • Entrance exam score cards
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets (if available, or provisional certificate for final year students)
  • Work experience certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport size photographs
  • Any relevant certificates or documents as specified by the institute.

4.Application Fee: Pay the application fee as per the institute's website.

5.Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their entrance exam scores and may be called for further rounds including:

  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)
  • Group Discussion (GD)

6. Final Selection: Generally, the final selection is done on the basis composite score committing to the performance in the entrance test, academic background and performances in the additional selection rounds (if conducted).

7. Offer of Admission: The students would receive their offer of admission through this method where applicable. 

8. Acceptance and Fee Payment: Candidates will be expected to acknowledge their offer and remit necessary fees on or before the due date.

9. Document Verification: Admitted students have to show original documents for verification during their registration in the institute.

Degree-wise Admission Process

PGDM Rural Management: PGDM Rural Management is the major program that School of Rural Management-Ratlam offers. The PGDM Rural Management program is the admission strength of this program which will confer admission to not more than 60 students; this is also a testimony of the institute's commitment to developing specialists in Rural Development.

The admissions in the PGDM Rural Management program are made on the basis of the scores from any of the acceptable entrance examinations (CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT, or ATMA). Besides this, there can also be an extra Written Ability Test/Personal Interview/Group Discussion in the selection process, which, however, has not been disclosed.

Eligibility Criteria for PGDM Rural Management are:

  1. A bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
  2. A valid score in any one of the entrance exams mentioned (CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT, or ATMA).
  3. Students to appear in the last year of bachelor's degree may also apply if they are completing their degree before the start of the program.
