The AICTE-approved institute has various courses in engineering on its 1.49 acres of land. The Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology admission process is designed to select deserving students through a combination of state-level and national-level entrance exams.

    The admission process of Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dausa generally operates in parallel with the academic calendar and is typically offered during the previous months of the opening of the academic year. In the case of the B.Tech streams, which are the core of SIET programmes, the college follows a dual mode of admission intended to possess a composite student base but also academic merit.

    For 70% of the seats, admission is provided to those candidates who have passed 10+2 and who are qualified under Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET). The 30% remaining seats are also divided equally between students of other Indian states (15%) and management quota seekers (15%), and these candidates are provided admission on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main score.

    • In case a seat is allocated in SIET, report to the institute for document verification and the admission process.

    Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology Application Process for JEE Main 

    • Attempt the JEE Main examination.
    • Register for the centralised counseling process (such as JoSAA or state-level counseling for management quota).
    • Fill in college and branch preference while counseling process is going on.
    • If allotted a seat at SIET, go to the institute and get documents verified and take the admission procedure.

    Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Admission Process

    SIET offers four B.Tech programmes: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The sanctioned intake for these programmes is 210 seats. The admission to these programmes is based on RPET scores for 70% seats and JEE Main scores for 30%. The admission process includes:

    • For RPET candidates: Passing the RPET exam and going through the state-level counseling procedure.
    • For JEE Main candidates: Clearing the JEE Main examination and going through the centralised counseling process.

    Electrical Engineering has the highest intake of 84 seats, and Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering have 42 seats each. All B.Tech programmes are four-year, full-time degree courses that provide students with a proper theoretical as well as practical base in the areas of specialisation of their choice.
