    HNIMR Pune Admission Process

    Smt. Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management and Research for Women (HNIMR) has been a reputable women-only institute and is committed to quality management education. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Based on a defined admission methodology for the MBA program, it selects its candidates. The admission procedure respects the rules framed by MHT-MBA/MMS with regards to a fair selection process. The admission cycle for HNIMR usually coincides with the MBA admission calendar in the state of Maharashtra. Though actual dates may vary every year, the process commences on the whole in the first quarter of the year; usually around January-February for application. The eligibility tests are held between December and May depending upon the test itself. Thereafter come the results and subsequent counseling processes, with admissions finalized by July-August in time for beginning of the academic year in August-September.

    Eligibility for admission to MBA at HNIMR requires that the candidates hold a first degree from a university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories). The institute accepts scores from the different national and state-level entrance tests, offering candidates many options to qualify for admission.

    HNIMR accepts scores from the following entrance exams:

    1. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)
    2. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET)
    3. Common Admission Test (CAT)
    4. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
    5. Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
    6. ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions)

    It is advised that the candidates prepare well for the above tests, which includes quantitative ability, verbal skills, logical reasoning, and data interpretation.

    Application Process

    The entire procedure for application for admission into the MBA program at HNIMR involves the following:

    1. Register for and appear in either of the accepted entrance exams (CMAT, MAH-CET, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA).

    2. After the announcement of the entrance exam results, eligible candidates will register online for the centralized admission process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

    3. An online application form is to be filled on the DTE website with correct personal and academic details.

    4. Upload scanned copies of required documents, including:

    • Graduation mark sheets(all semester/year)
    • Entrance exam score card
    • Domicile certificate (for Maharashtra candidates)
    • Caste certificate and validity (if applicable)
    • Non-creamy layer certificate (for OBC candidates)
    • Income certificate (if applicable for EWS category)
    • Photo ID proof
    • Recent passport-sized photograph

    5. Pay the application fee as would be prescribed by DTE.

    6.Participate in the centralized counseling process after document verification.

    7. Report to the institute for document verification and admission confirmation once a seat is allocated in HNIMR.

    8. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds at HNIMR.

    9. Final selection will be based on the composite score of entrance exam performance, academic record, GD and PI.

    10. The selected candidates must deposit the requisite fee and complete the admission procedure as per the stipulated timeline.

    Degree wise Admission Process

    MBA: HNIMR offers a full-time MBA program with an approved intake capacity of 180 students. The program duration is two years and is designed to provide comprehensive management education. The admission process for the MBA program includes the following steps:

    1. Qualify in any of the accepted entrance exams (CMAT, MAH-CET, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA).
    2. Apply to HNIMR through the centralized admission process of Maharashtra state.
    3. Participate in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds conducted by the institute.
    4. Final selection based on the composite score of entrance exam performance, academic records, GD, and PI.
