whats the score required for this college ?

Shareef 29th Nov, 2019

St. John's Medical College is a Private Medical College and Private Medical Colleges have 3 types of seats. A seat is Government Quota seat. Under this Category, for a General Category student, atleast 500 and above are required and 450 if it is for Reserved Category students. Now B seat is for Management Quota. Under this Category, for General Category student, atleast 400 marks are required and for reserved Category students 350 is the minimum mark. C seat is for NRI students and not for Indian citizens.

what is the marks that i have to score to get a free medical seat in these college

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 28th Nov, 2019

Shreyas, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, St. John's Medical College is a Private Medical College. And Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through Direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. I your case, there is no free seat per se. It is Government Quota seat. For a seat in this College, your target should be nothing less than 550.

I got 306 in neet and I wanted to join in this clg I belong to bc category can I get admission here

Sriya Bose Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019
Hello Aspirant!

Your NEET UG scores are not enough to get you a seat in the above mentioned college. This year, the admission cut-offs have gone very high. So even for reserved category candidates, 306 marks are not enough to get a seat in St. Johns.

I got 499 in neet 2019.I belong to muslim minority. Can I get admission in any medical college of Banglore?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019
Dear Ali, this year the cut offs have gone way higher. In 2018 the cut off under State Quota was 343. This year candidates with a score of 500 have not been able to secured a seat in MBBS. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. With 499, it might be really tough for a MBBS seat in Bangalore colleges.

How much will an oci student have to pay for a medical seat if selected through neet merit

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019
OCI candidates have the same fees structure as NRIs. NRIs/OCIs have 15% quota in St. Johns. Admissions are conducted based on supportive documents from the respective Counsulate and met eligibility criteria. The fees structure is being updated on their official website and hence at this point in time no specific infornation is available. And then the fees structure is different for Candidates who belong to SAARC countries and those who belong to Non SAARC countries. In the past years the annual fees for NRI quota was Rs. 25,00,000 approximately including tution fees, security fund and miscellaneous charges.
