Affiliated with the Technical University in Uttarakhand, Swami Darshnanand Institute of Management and Technology, Haridwar, is one among several other management and technical programmes in India. The Swami Darshnanand Institute of Management and Technology admission selects the most deserving candidates for management and computer application programmes. The full-time courses offered are one postgraduate (MBA) and two undergraduate (BBA and BCA). For admission, the MBA programme at Swami Darshnanand Institute of Management and Technology accepts a number of national-level entrance tests, including the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by AICTE, the Common Admission Test (CAT), the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), the Xavier Aptitudet (XAT), and the Uttarakhand Technical University Post Graduate Entrance Examination (UTUPGEE).

The college provides three courses.
There are 60 seats for the Master of Business Administration programme at SDIMT. Swami Darshnanand Institute of Management and Technology admission to the MBA programme is determined on the basis of a valid score in any of the accepted national-level entrance tests. The selection process will give weightage to the scores of CMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, and UTUPGEE. The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
The Bachelor of Business Administration programme admits 60 students. Specific admission details for BBA were not included, but in general, it is considered to base the selection on the 10+2 performance of the candidate. Bachelor of Computer Applications also allows intake for 60 seats, like the BBA.
