As a student of Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering & Technology, I find the infrastructure of the college well developed and student-friendly. The campus has spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a good library, and clean surroundings that create a comfortable learning environment. The facilities support both academic activities and practical learning, helping students study effectively
The academic environment is disciplined and focused on learning. Faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and always ready to help students understand concepts clearly. Regular classes, assignments, and practical sessions help students build strong technical knowledge along with problem-solving skills
The college provides positive placement support through training programs, workshops, and interview preparation sessions. Students receive guidance for aptitude tests, communication skills, and career development, which helps them become confident and industry-ready for job opportunities
Considering the quality of education, infrastructure, and academic support, the college offers good value for money. Students get access to learning resources, skill-development opportunities, and career guidance that make the investment in education worthwhile
Campus life is enjoyable and engaging, with technical events, cultural programs, and extracurricular activities organized throughout the year. These activities help students develop confidence, teamwork skills, and overall personality growth while maintaining a positive college experience.
The campus infrastructure is decent and functional. Classrooms are spacious and labs are properly equipped for regular practical work, especially in CSE/IT. The library is quiet and useful during exams. Hostels are manageable, though mess food is average. Sports facilities are available but not at a very advanced level. Overall, it’s comfortable but not premium
Academics are structured and follow the university syllabus properly. Most teachers are supportive if you show interest. Attendance rules are strict, so you need to stay regular. The curriculum builds basic concepts well, but for strong technical skills or coding depth, self-study is important
Placements are one of the stronger aspects, particularly for CSE/IT students. Training sessions, aptitude preparation, and mock interviews are conducted. Service-based companies visit regularly. Core branch students may have comparatively fewer opportunities. Your package largely depends on your skills and preparation
Considering the fee structure and placement support, it offers reasonable value. If you actively build your skills and use the opportunities provided, it can be worth it. However, if you expect high-end facilities or guaranteed high packages without effort, it may not meet those expectations
Campus life is fairly active with cultural fests, technical events, and occasional DJ nights. There are student clubs, but participation depends on how involved students choose to be. It’s not extremely competitive, so you can maintain a balance between studies and enjoyment
The college has a spacious and green campus with well-maintained academic blocks. Labs are properly equipped for core branches, and the library has a good collection of books. Classrooms are decent with basic facilities like projectors and Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are available, though food quality and maintenance can sometimes vary. Overall infrastructure is satisfactory but not extremely modern.
Academics are structured under PTU guidelines. Most faculty members are supportive and experienced, especially in core subjects. Regular classes, assignments, and internal assessments help students stay consistent. Attendance rules are strict, which maintains discipline. However, students need to put in self-effort for advanced learning and skill development
The college has a dedicated Training & Placement Cell that organizes industry interaction, skill workshops, mock interviews, and resume preparation to help students get job opportunities and internships. It works to connect students with recruiters from multiple sectors like IT, core engineering, FMCG, telecom, e-commerce and more.
The fee structure is moderate compared to private engineering colleges in the region. Considering the facilities, faculty support, and placement opportunities, it offers reasonable value for money, especially for students seeking affordable technical education.
Campus life is decent with cultural fests, technical events, and active student clubs. Sports facilities are available but limited. The environment is friendly, making it easy to build connections and enjoy college life.

SVIET’s campus is generally well-built with spacious classrooms, multiple laboratories, libraries, and Wi-Fi enabled facilities. Most students appreciate the study spaces and technical labs, especially in CSE and IT departments. However, some reviews point out that mess food quality and medical/sports facilities could be better maintained, and certain amenities aren’t equally accessible to all batches (like Wi-Fi for first-years)
The academic structure is organized with regular classes, internal tests, and revision sessions. Teachers are typically supportive and knowledgeable, helping students prepare for semester exams that are described as moderate in difficulty. Regular attendance and consistent study usually lead to a decent pass rate. Some students feel the curriculum needs extra effort for industry readiness
The placement track record is fairly strong, especially for computer science and IT students. Many batches report a good percentage of students placed through on-campus drives, with average packages around 5–6 LPA and higher offers reported in strong years. Smaller branches sometimes see fewer opportunities
SVIET’s annual tuition fee for B.Tech is usually in the range of ~₹80,000–₹1,20,000 per year, which is moderate compared to many private engineering colleges in Punjab. Some students report fees around ₹90,000–₹1,20,000 per year. Scholarships and fee concessions based on merit or financial need are also available, making it more affordable for eligible students
Campus life includes fests, technical events, and club activities, creating a lively environment. Most students find the social experience positive, though some feel extra-curricular activities could be expanded further.
The college infrastructure is, in many ways, the backbone of the student experience, and at this institution, it is a mixed bag of impressive facilities and areas needing significant improvement. The library, a modern architectural marvel, is a sanctuary for serious study, boasting extensive digital resources, quiet study pods, and ample natural light. The Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus is generally reliable, which is a massive relief for research and assignments.
My experience with the academics at PTU has been largely positive, providing a solid foundation for my future career. The curriculum is comprehensive, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical applications, particularly within the engineering department. The course structure encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I found highly valuable.
My experience with the placements cell at this institution was, for the most part, positive. The team was dedicated and worked tirelessly to bring a diverse range of companies to campus. They offered numerous workshops on resume building and interview skills, which I found incredibly helpful in preparing for the recruitment process
My experience at this college has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the value for money it offers. When I first enrolled, I was skeptical about the return on investment given the competitive landscape of higher education, but this institution has exceeded my expectations.
My time at this college has been a truly transformative journey, offering a perfect blend of rigorous academics and a vibrant social life. From the moment I stepped onto the green and peaceful campus, I felt a strong sense of belonging. The academic environment is exceptional. The faculty members are not just teachers but mentors who are highly knowledgeable and always approachable for doubt-clearing or career guidance. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing on both theoretical depth and practical industry requirements through regular workshops and seminars.
