Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering is a four years full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission Details

Admission to all undergraduate courses (/academics) ie. Bachelors in Engineering (B.E.) are carried out through the single window system of the Anna University. Students can choose the courses based upon the state-wise rank calculated by their marks in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Department of Education, Government of TamilNadu.

Reservations are provided for BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST etc as per the rules of the Government of TamilNadu.

Reservations are also provided for Physically handicapped / Ex-Servicemen / Sports persons / Other state candidates.

College Infrastructure

The classes and library are adequate. Labs are outdated and missing crucial systems for heavy workloads. Hostels are good depending on the block but they are well maintained for the most part. Mess food is good enough. General environment of the campus is good, filled with greenery.

College Infrastructure

Academic blocks are well-structured with comfortable classrooms and fully functional labs. The library is a standout with quiet study spaces and digital learning options. Hostel accommodation is decent with Wi-Fi, healthy food, and secure surroundings. The college also provides good sporting facilities, both indoor and outdoor, which are well-utilized during annual fests and competitions.

College Infrastructure

My college is well-planned campus in Madurai. The classrooms are spacious, clean, and many of them are upgraded with digital boards and projectors. Labs are fully equipped with the latest instruments, especially in departments like Mechanical, ECE, and Computer Science. The library is a major highlight with thousands of books, journals, and access to e-resources, making it a perfect place for self-study. Hostel facilities are good, offering clean rooms, Wi-Fi, and healthy food options.
