The 2016 cutoff for CSE was 33,000

Phase 1:Closing rank 1-2000

Phase 2:2001-99999

The expected 2020 cutoff is around 29000.

It's a best college in Tamil Nadu. Vit Vellore campus are 25yrs old it is main branch.

Placements: The placement of this college is not so good in MBA as compared to others.

You will get average salary package. Also the fees is quite low compared to premium MBA colleges.

It is good and well known for engineering but for MBA it is not that good.

The fee for VIT Chennai is  divided into two groups for group A B.tech Courses is approximately equal to 1,80,000 and the fee for Group B B.Tech Courses is approximately equal to 2,00,000 for the first year excluding the hostel fee .

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but VIT doesn't offer lateral entry in btech to diploma graduates.

Now that VIT does not offer lateral entry,  you cannot get admission in VIT in second year of btech  through lateral entry scheme


VIT eligibility criteria says that to be eligible for btech you should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in your 12th board examination.

VIT accepts VITEEE for admission of students into streams of engineering. VITEEE has eligibility criteria. if you satisfy it then you can take exam, qualify and get an admission.

in the terms of academic, you have to get 60% above in maths or biology, chemistry and physics. if you have reservation like SC/ST then 50% in PCM/PCB. if you have not got a percentage equivalent or above 60 than you can not appear exam and get an admission.
