About getting govt seat in Karnataka

Pooja Gulati 2nd Jul, 2019

Hi !

With 375 marks and OBC category , you might have good chances of getting a seat in government medical collges of Karnataka because according to last year's data , 338 was the lowest cutoff with the closing rank of 134520 for Raichur Institute of medical sciences , Raichur for OBC category , and you have a wide margin. So , there are high chances of getting a seat.

Rest , it depends on each year's cutoff because it changes every year depending on various factors like no. of candidates , difficulty level of exam , etc.

All the best !

Which is better amongst KIMS hubli and VIMS bellary?

yogita matlani Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

Dear candidate,

according to the previous year cut off karnataka institute of medical science hubli is better than vims bellary since kims stopped taking admission at the rank of 41,000 for general category whereas vims took admission till the rank of 50,000. Usually good colleges have higher cut off marks and lower cut off rank hence with that perspective kims is better. you can check the data from the link given below.

Hello Jeevitha!

You are almost at the border line of cutoff for VIMS BELLARY and if there is not much inflation in the cutoff this year then you will get it for sure. Last year the cutoff was around 374.

Check out the college predictor for a clearer idea of which colleges you might get.

Neet score 203 can I get a MBBS seat in Vijaynagar college

Ajay Pratap singh 14th Jun, 2019

hi rutuja
With your marks there is very  less chances to get a seat through governmwnt quota in most of the states. And this prediction is based on previous year counselling. You can very well try for management quota. Your marks are eligible for the same again according to previous year counselling. All the best

I got 300 marks in neet ug did I get government seat

Nupur Agarwal 8th Jun, 2019
Hello aspirant!

As per previous year cut off trend, your chances to get a government medical college for MBBS course is likely very difficult and quite low.

However you could try for other paramedical courses like BHMS, BAMS, etc.

I wish you all the best!

Can a marks of 348 in neet ug 19 fetch a seat in this college ?

Ojaswi Biswas Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Dear Candidate

See as per your Marks-348 it is difficult to get a Government Medical Seat even if you have a state quota and another quota if applicable. You should have maintained a score above 550 to be on the safer side.

You cannot get into any government medical college with this mark.

There is very less probability of getting a seat.

At this stage, I will suggest you must use this link to get a fair idea about the colleges both Private and Government you can get as per the score you have received and then plan accordingly.

I got 402 in neet 2019 st category Hyderabad Karnataka reservation can I get seat in vims

Abhik Shaw Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019

Hey Pallavi,

Let me tell you that you may secure a seat in VIMS with your marks in NEET.You will have more chances than the general category candidates since you have ST reservation and also State quota reservations. However the cutoff changes every year based upon many factors. For MBBS the opening and closing rank maybe in the range of 26400-28000,for BDS in the range 36400-40000,this is with respect to round 1 cutoff for ST candidates.VIMS may also declare round 2 cutoffs for MBBS and BDS.Also it depends upon which course you are interested to pursue.

Thank you.
