      WCFA Mysore Admission Process

Wadiyar Centre for Architecture, Mysuru (WCFA Mysore) is an eminently commendable institution in the domain of architecture, imparting holistic architectural education, namely Bachelors in Architecture (B.Arch). The admission process of WCFA Mysore is quite selective as their criterion is to spot candidates with substantial aptitude for the discipline of architecture. By following strict selection parameters through national-level entrance examinations, the institute thus targets the best and most competent students. The admission cycle starts from the month of June through to August. The application process is, therefore, normally suspended by this period and proposed students are to start with preparation for the entrance examinations quite early, as this will always have fierce competition for seats. The institute accepts the outcome scores of three major entrance examinations: National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, and Karnataka Common Entrance Test.

As far as eligibility is concerned, these candidates have to complete or have passed a 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. The institute lays emphasis on drawing ability, power of observation, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, and mathematics ability, which become a part of the general assessment by means of standardized tests of entrance. The total intake of students for B.Arch in WCFA Mysore is 80 seats. Admissions are, however, keenly contested since this number of seats for such a valuable course is rather meager. Those candidates scoring high in the entrance examinations are ranked and called for admissions.

      Application Process

Below are the steps to complete the application process for admission into the B.Arch program at WCFA Mysore:

      1. Entrance Exam: Candidates must first appear for one of the accepted entrance exams-NATA, JEE Main, or KCET. These exams evaluate the applicant's aptitude for architecture, including drawing skills, mathematical ability, and logical reasoning.

      2. Application Submission: After obtaining the entrance exam score, the candidates will apply directly to WCFA Mysore. Application forms are generally made available on the official website of the institute (https://wcfa.ac.in/).

      3. Document Submission: The candidates have to submit documents along with the application form.

      • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
      • Entrance exam score card (NATA/JEE Main/KCET)
      • Proof of date of birth
      • Category certificate (if applicable)
      • Any other documents as per the specifications of the institute

      4. Application Fees: Candidates may be required to pay application fees, the amount and mode of payment of which will be notified on the institute's website.

      5. Counseling Process: Based on the scores of the entrance exam and eligibility criteria, shortlisted candidates shall be called for the counseling process. It may include document verification and allotting of seats.

      6. Admission confirmation: Candidates, if selected, are required to confirm the admission by paying the necessary fees and submitting original documents within the given time frame.

After going through this entire admissions process, WCFA Mysore ensures that only the most promising candidates have been selected for their B.Arch program, thus maintaining themselves as one of the preeminent institutions for architectural education in India.

      Degree wise Admission Process

B.Arch: The Bachelor of Architecture program is a five-year undergraduate course at WCFA Mysore. The admissions to this program are open on the basis of the candidate's NATA/JEE Main/or KCET score. The admission system has the following steps:
