Have a question related to Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli ?

It's difficult to say definitively whether an 85 percentile in JEE Main will get you into Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) Sangli with an EWS girl category, as cutoff scores vary each year. However, your chances are significantly lower than for a general category candidate, and securing a seat, especially in a popular branch, will be challenging.

    hi,

With a JEE Main rank of around 35,000 in the EWS category, getting admission into COEP (College of Engineering Pune) or WCE (Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli) for Computer Science is quite difficult. These colleges usually have much better ranks for CSE seats — for example, last year the cutoff rank for EWS at COEP was below 6,000, and at WCE it was even lower.

However, you can still try for other branches like Electronics or IT where the cutoff might be higher. Also, keep an eye on the counselling rounds because sometimes cutoffs go down if seats remain vacant. It’s a good idea to look at other good colleges too, where your rank stands a better chance.

I am in kit institute in kolhapur pursuing my F.Y . btech in civil can I go to walchand college of engineering sangli in second year

    Hello there!!!

Transferring from KIT Institute to Walchand College of Engineering can turn out to be a good move if you are looking for an improvement in academic as well as professional perspectives. Below is a broad outline of how to do that:

    Eligibility and Process:

    • Check Eligibility: Each college has its specific criterion for transferring candidates. You should know that WCE has its specific requirements for transfer applicants, such as academic eligibility, available seats, or other special conditions for civil engineering students.
    • Contact the Admissions Office: Contact WCE's admissions office or academic coordinator to discuss your case. They can explain further the procedure and even give you a specific list of what documents will be required if there are any.
    • Prepare Documents: Generally, you would need to present a copy of your academic transcript, transfer application, and sometimes, letters of recommendation. Make sure that your documents are complete and ready for you to present in front of the people from WCE.
    • Credits Transfer: One thing you should consider in transferring is how your completed coursework will transfer. WCE will evaluate the credits completed to establish how many will count for your degree there.
    • Application Transfer: The application process for transfers into WCE may require filling out an application form and presenting other documents as well as possibly attending a meeting.
    • Decision and Admission: After applying, wait for WCE to respond with a decision. Thereafter, continue with their steps for enrollment and induction.

    Preparation and Thoughts:

    • Academic Record: Keep working hard to ensure that you have a sound academic record at KIT to upgrade your prospects of a smooth transfer
    • Reason for Transfer: Clearly define reasons for shifting places- whether it is due to better facilities or faculty, or any other reason.
    • Financial and Logistics: There may be financial or logistics concerns in connection with the move.

To obtain more personalized advice, you could visit both colleges' websites and speak to current students or alumni.

    Thankyou!
