If you are getting Computer Science and Engineering be it in BIT Mesra Off Campus' or at BIT Bangalore or wherever, take that over any other branch or institute.
Else BMSCE Mechanical seems a better option. BMSCE also has been experiencing good placements in last few years, with being located near Industrial and IT Hubs at Bangalore providing further impetus to training and placements.
For more information regarding BMSCE do follow the link below

hi shreya
based on my research and students feed back, it is just an average college now. and they suggest not to take admission if you have too many expectations.
they say, academics are getting down slowly and its not appreciable, and also a money making college.
in terms of exposure, apparently you cant expect anything from there. and placement is also poor. but for cse its fine as many IT companies come there.
and future scopes depend only on your skills and the college matters only a small portion.
this is just based on my research. i suggest you to do your own analysis.
good luck
Dear aspirant,
Both of the mentioned Institutions have excellent facilities and importance in its own way. Now in term of NIRF Ranking Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, J alandhar has a ranking of 52nd whereas BIT Mesra is at 38 th position.
In term of placement BIT Mesra is pretty good. The training and placement cell of BIT Mesra works round the clock to secure excellent career opportunities for all students. Some of the well known companies like IBM, Infosys, KPMG etc visited the campus. The average package for engineering is 10 lacs per annum and the highest package offered to one student was of 40.63 LPA, which is extraordinary . For information technology branch some of the most influence company like Facebook, Google, Flipkart, Directi etc offered job a number of students with median 10 LPA package.
In in term of placement of NIT Jalandhar in electronics and communication engineering it is also not bad at all. As per previous year placement record almost 85% of students got placed in in very much well known companies with an average salary of 7.5 lacs per annum. In electronics and communication engineering the highest package offered in the last year was 39 lacs per annum. Various top companies like Amazon, trident Group, JP Morgan, Lava, byju's, Reliance manufacturing, Infosys, Capgemini etc visits campus every year and offer a great number of Job.
Now the choice is yours. Now a days the trend of getting job in ECE is comparatively high than that of IT. But in term of placement in such Institutions are always upto the mark.
Hope you have understood. All the best.

Outstanding college The campus is well-maintained with decent classrooms, a library, sports facilities, and Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are average, but improvements in food and hygiene could enhance the experience.
The infrastructure of the college is very good every faculty member here is very much ready to help us out they have a very friendly nature and easy to access them. Almost everyone here is very crispy the college staff also is very helpful polite good nature
The university offers a friendly environment for study. Classrooms are digitalized. The library has approximately more thank 10,000 books, e-books, and IEEE subscriptions for us which helped me in my research work. The auditorium is highly equipped and I was handed my M.Tech degree there.
