    College Infrastructure

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra offers a well-maintained and resourceful campus with everything a student needs for academic and personal growth. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards, projectors, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity. The central library is one of the best parts of the campus, with ample study space, digital resources, and access to journals required for research and assignments. Hostels are clean, spacious, and regularly maintained, and the mess food is satisfactory with decent hygiene standards. The campus also includes indoor and outdoor sports facilities, well-equipped laboratories, medical services, cafeterias, a post office, and a bank, making it a self-sustained environment.

Amazing campus with great learning experience.

    College Infrastructure

BIT Mesra has really good infrastructure and facilities that make college life comfortable and productive. The classrooms are clean, spacious, and have projectors for better learning. Labs are fully equipped with modern instruments, and everything is well maintained so practical work never feels like a hassle. The library is huge — it’s a peaceful place to study with thousands of books and online resources. Sports facilities are great too; we have grounds for cricket, football, basketball, and even indoor games and a gym. Hostels are neat and the rooms are decent in size with good Wi-Fi. The food in the mess is hygienic and better than what you’d expect in most colleges. The campus overall is very green and pleasant, and there’s a medical center available for any emergencies. It honestly feels like everything a student might need is already here.

Have a question related to BIT Mesra ?

The question in the application form can definitely be confusing, but the meaning becomes clear when you break it down. When they ask “In case of girl candidate, are you the only girl child of your parents?” , they are not asking whether you are the only child in the family. They simply want to know whether your parents have only one daughter .

In your case, you mentioned that you are the only girl child of your parents , and you also have a younger brother. Having a brother does not change your answer, because the form is asking only about the number of daughters , not about the total number of children. So even though you are not the only child, you are the only daughter , and that fits the category.

Therefore, the correct answer in your application should be YES .

This question is generally asked because some institutions have special fee concessions or scholarships for the only girl child category. So it’s important to choose the right option to ensure you do not miss any benefits.

If you feel confused about any other part of the application form, you can ask anytime. All the best.

The Bangalore Institute of Technology  is generally well-regarded and a strong option for engineering in Bangalore.

Based on student reviews and expert analysis, here's why it's considered a good choice:

    • Placements are Strong: The college maintains a strong placement record, with students reporting placement rates of 70% to 95% (especially for Computer Science and IT branches). Reported average packages range from 5 LPA to 7-8 LPA, with the highest packages sometimes exceeding 50 LPA (though these are often off-campus placements secured by students).

    • Academics and Faculty: The faculty members are generally considered highly knowledgeable and helpful. The curriculum is affiliated with VTU and is updated to ensure students are ready for the industry.

    • Location Advantage: Being in the city center of Bangalore offers a huge advantage for internships, industry exposure, and placements.

Some minor drawbacks noted are the smaller campus size and fewer dedicated sports facilities. For detailed reviews on academics, infrastructure, and placements, check the Careers360 review hub here: https://www.careers360.com/colleges/bangalore-institute-of-technology-bangalore/reviews .

    Hello dear candidate,

No, it will not cause any problem if your father's name in your aadhar card and 10th marksheet is a bit different if your own name is correct and matches everywhere.

Just keep both the documents and if require, a short affidavit which says both names are of your father's only.

    Thank you.
