Based on your percentile in jee Mains, you have no chances of getting a seat into BIT Mesra for any branch as the cutoffs for BIT Mesra are very high. It is one of the high reputed institute of India with as par as the NITs. You need to score more than 170 marks in JEE Mains to get a seat in BIT Mesra.

Hello,
With your marks in JEE Mains 2020, your rank should be around 25000 to 30000 in the common rank list. As you are from oBC category, you can get seat in NITs  and GFTIs for civil engineering.

For BIT Mesra, you need to have around 150+ to get a seat. If you are from Jharkhand and as an oBC, you might get seat in the last rounds of JOSAA counseling.

Your expected rank with 75 percentile will be around 217252. And with this rank it seems difficult to get NIT even after applying your home state as well as category quota.

you can wait for special round counselling. There might be chances of getting seat in left over seats in some low ranked NIT's. But there is very less probability even for this.

. however you can try for state counseling like Punjab, Haryana, MP, Andhra Pradesh Etc.

Hi aspirant,

You are getting 92.8 percentile in JEE Main. Based on this percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) would be 72,000 approximately and the corresponding EWS category rank would be around 9,000. The last year seventh round closing rank for EWS candidate for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in BIT Mesra was 1460 under other state quota and it was 2148 under home state quota. You rank is far away from this and hence it is not possible to you to get CSE in BIT Mesra. But yet you have more options. You can see your other options of colleges and branches by using the following college predictor tool:

Hi,

See it all depends on your choice. If you are willing to go for higher studies, you can definitely do your PG. However, if you think that you don't want to study anymore then obviously you should apply for the jobs. It's all upto you that what's your decision, whether you want a job or you want to learn more.

Hello,

Let us first compare the placement records of these colleges.

  • For BIT Bangalore

Highest package offered: INR 13.5 LPA

Average package offered: INR 6.5 LPA

  • For DSCE Bangalore

Highest package offered: INR 7 LPA

Average package offered: INR 3.5 LPA

  • For JSS Mysore

So, looking at the placement records of these three different colleges, you can clearly see that JSS Mysore is the better college.

Hope this helps!

Hey aspirant,

As you haven't mentioned that about which campus of BIT you are asking for so it's a little tuff to understand and give you a suggestion but comparing JSS and DSCE MYSORE I would suggest you to go for JSS MYSORE for CSE as it has offered the fairer package to cse students. The highest package in cse branch is 15lpa and average is around 4-5lpa.

Whereas in DSCE for cse the highest pacakge is 10-11lpa and an average ranges around 3-4lpa.

I hope this info will help you.

Good luck.

College Infrastructure

Birla institute of technology , mesra , boasts one of the most spacious and beautiful campuses in India , spread over 780 acres of greenry. The college infrastructure is well developed and caters to both academic and extra curricular activities. Classrooms are clean, well equiped and are aided with good modern facilities like projectors and smart boards. The library is massive and house thousands of books and digital resources from students of all streams. The institute has also great sports infrastructure that includes cricket, football and almost all indoor games including badminton , table tennis ,etc. The environment is peaceful and inspiring helping students to focus on their academics as well as personal growth. Hostel food and occasional maintanance is the only negative part that is dominant. Overall, BIT Mesra offers an ideal setting for a balanced college life with everything a student may need, right within the campus.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure here is quite impressive. The classrooms are well-equipped, and while the labs have the basic tools you need. You'll find air-conditioned classrooms. The hostels are generally considered spacious and well-maintained, with daily cleaning, and each has its own dining hall. They also have night canteens, which is convenient. The college has a good library, fast Wi-Fi all over the campus, a medical center, and sports facilities. However, a few folks have suggested the cafeteria could use a facelift and that some washrooms might need better hygiene.
