Rahul, the cutoff rank for BIT Mesra varies with the branch you opt for. In 2018, the branch wise cutoff ranks were as follows:

• Mechanical- 34003

• Polymer and Plastic- 62021

Also please note that the cutoff would be lower if you get the benefit of Home state quota.

You haven't mentioned whether you belong to Rajasthan or Haryana. Neverthless, in both these States, Jat belongs to OBC. Now if you fall under OBC Non creamy layer, you will have to select OBC-NCL as your Category. But if your annual household income is more than the Non creamy layer slab, then you have to select General Category as your Category. If you fall under OBC-NCL, you will be eligible for OBC reservation of 27%.

All you can do right now is, when you apply to colleges through your MAT score, please be careful and add B.com as your graduation details and make it justifiable wherever you are called for further application process.

The correction in the credentials after result is not possible.

Birla Scholarship” scheme has been instituted, to encourage meritorious students and to ensure that they are not denied the BIT education because of lack of means. First semester students admitted in different branches at BIT Mesra, Ranchi will be eligible for this merit scholarship based on their JEE Main Rank. Continuation of scholarship beyond first semester shall be based on GPA secured by student as per the norms.

The fee structure may vary from year to year as it decided by college management. The fee structure of 2019 batch is:

1st sem: 66500

2nd sem: 66500

3rd sem: 73000

4th sem: 73000

5th sem: 80000

6th sem: 80000

Admission fee is common for before 1st sem which is 10,000 and caution sem is 5000.

The expected date for start of the application form for the BITSAT exam 2020 is 4 January 2020. The last date is expected to be by 31 March 2020. The exam dates are considered to be 16- 31 May 2020.
