coachin university of science and technology conducts CUSAT exam to admission in various undergraduate and post graduate courses. doctoral level like phd courses in various fields of Engineering, Science and technology, Humanities & social sciences, Law and business & management studies.
however seat matrix is as follows,
Dept. of Ship Technology, Campus 1
Seats available: 43 [Includes 15 Sponsored seats (Indian Navy )]
Supernumerary seats: 2 INT, 2 TG, 1 SPQ.
HOWEVER FOR THE NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND SHIP building course there is no NRI reservation. you may refer to the prospectus of cusat to know the seat matrix. follow the page 15 of the below link of prospectus:

The results of cusat 2020 has been released on 24th september 2020 and counselling has begun from 26th september. According to your rank you may not get the top colleges but you can get a mid level college. You can check which college may you get from below link

If by chance you have not been alloted any seat then from 17th november to 18th november there will be a spot round conducting for which you will have to register yourself from the offical website from 13th to 14th november.

For Undergraduate Programmes – Minimum eligibility criteria for SEBC candidates of Kerala state with non creamy layer status for admission to B.Tech programme (except marine engineering), is 45% marks in Mathematics & 45% marks in PCM put together in the qualifying examination.
thus you are eligible to apply for cusat examination.

To take admission in CUSAT you must give the entrance test conducted by the university every year for its various UG and PG courses.
Minimum eligibility is 55% in 12th class. The admission is based on the cutoffs declared by the the university.
Previous year cutoff for B.tech in CSE for various category are mentioned below-
General - 1037
OBC -1493
SC - 15646
ST - 15646
PWD - 1037
Economically Weaker Section - 1037

Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test provides admission in the University to those students who have scored an extremely good rank or have good quota rank pertaining to some sort of reservation. As far as the branch of Marine Engineering is concerned, it is one of the most difficult branches of the University in terms of enrolling into the Institute. The cutoff rank for Marine Engineering in the Institute is 150. In case there is some sort of reservation with a good quota rank, only then could you find a place in that Institute. So, I hope you understand that at this rank of yours, there is no chance of yours getting Marine Engineering in CUSAT.
Att rank of yours, you can enroll yourself in other branches of the Institute like electrical and electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering, Civil engineering, Computer Science Engineering, polymer Technology, etc.

Hi Albit sunny, don't worry your HSC marks are quite enough. The marks in English and Malayalam is not consider in the calculation of cutoff. To get seat in engineering, chemistry, physics and mathematics are the required subjects. So calculate your cutoff marks and apply for the counselling, you can get good engineering college in mechanical branch.

Yes,you can get the seat ,stay active apply for the college counselling as fast as possible ,because sometime we lose a good oppourtunity due to our laziness.
If you don't get the seat in the first go stay there and keep looking for other counselling rounds.

where the price is 2,75,000 the food is good in my hostel I would recommend a first year student to stay in a hostel for a year then shift to a flat The college does not have its boys hostel it has three girls hostels of its own they have tie ups with private hostels there are hostel which offer you a room at 90,000 to hostels.
